After the incident in the Garden of Eden. Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the snake and it was rendered speechless by not having a leg to stand on.

The real question is how come we all did not evolve into snakes...why did some evolve into like rabbits and some evolved into snakes...satan was in the snake...

Satan used a nake to speak which is a different thing!!
Satan is also a spirit and spirits need a body to live! just like demons can be inside of a person animal, etc..

Most of the fishes, insects don't speak. They did not have use for it.
They got married.
