Why are people that are the "Top Contributers" in Religion and Faith not even religous?! I mean, if your an atheist and you don't care, stop telling people! It seems to me that you are just seeking attention. By being an atheist, your trying so hard to push yourself away from GOD, when your trying that hard, you could just as easily believe in HIM.
Why? What's the point?
I'm a Christian and I want to know why atheist have to make a big deal and tell everyone they are...

i agree, maybe they are to stubborn and stuck on themselves to realize they can't do things on there own.....i dont know seriously i have no idea why they come on R&S, if they don't believe in God and Don't want to have anything to do with Him then why do they come on here??....doesn't make much sense to me!
God Bless!

There are several reasons that atheists contribute to R&S:
1. There are questions directed to atheists.
2. Some atheists are interested in spirituality and various religions.
3. We have a vested interest in how religion effects our society.
4. R&S questions are shown in Society & Culture and the main answer page and we see and answer questions there.
It is not hard to "push yourself away" from a imaginary being, nor do I want to go back to believing.
The point of saying that I am an atheist is to make people aware that this nation is not just a nation of christians but of many diverse people. Our laws and educational system need to reflect this diversity. We need to understand, as a nation, that "our" moral system is not the only one, and to recognize the danger of legislating morality.

Why are you making a big deal about telling me you are Christian in a question asking why I state I am Atheist? That makes no sense. I'm not pushing myself away from God. There is no God. And I do care I care very much. I have children and it is my responsibility as a parent to do whatever I can to ensure they have common sense. I believe whole heartily there is no God. I'm not trying to get a rise out of you by saying it. It's what I know in MY heart to be the truth. For that reason I will say what I want to who I want. Just like you.

Well you really have no say in anything they do. But I think they do it to either piss Christians off and have fun, or they are just trying to return the favor. Because you know, Christians always did what Atheists are doing now. But IDK. I'm not an Atheist so I don't know why they do it. Maybe the same reason as me though. I come here because it just seems funny when Christians get angry.

What I don't understand is , if a person is religious , why doesn't he keep it to himself ?
Why do Christians make such a big deal telling everybody that they are ?
Why do Christians keep believing in "god" when it's so easy to dump their superstitions ?
Why ? What's the point ?
I'm a non-believer and I want to know why Christians have to make a big deal and tell everybody they are ....

They are top contributors because their answers got picked the most. Plain and simple. Maybe they are very, very knowledgeable or very funny or maybe they just have *tons* of friends here. But if you want to know why *anyone* has a TC badge, it is because they have the highest percentage of best answers --- regardless of their beliefs.
I have one atheist who has --- honestly --- given me best answers several times to questions that were aimed at Christians. Should I not pick the answer I legitimately think is best because he's not religious?

If you, as a Christian, are so sure of the answers, why do you come to R & S? If you know the answers, and don't care about alternatives, stop telling people. You're trying so hard to accept easy answers, you could just as easily be skeptical and not believe in Him.

Perhaps for the same reason Christians make a big deal and tell who they are... or maybe for a different reason. Either way, we both have that right. It's a free country.

Don't "christians" do the same thing? They go to different forums, and post their nonsense. I think some "christians" are closed-mind hypocrites. As long as you are spreading your religious propaganda, and no one disagrees with you, you're fine. But the minute someone disagrees questions like this pop up.
