I sometimes wonder what people's views would be if Blue was priced at say $65 per bottle instead of the current price. I'll tell you the answer, most would ignore it because " how could it be that good and cost that little?" Marketeers know how to appeal to the public's sense of snobbery.
Well, let me give you a tip, Blue is a blend, which means that 35-40% 0f its content is neutral grain spirit, just like the rest of the brands (except green). In addition, most of the malts in Blue are also found in Gold, Black and Green. Lastly, for the sake of truth, do a blind taste with 4/5 other premium brands and then decide.
Don't want to go through all that trouble? Then try the Green, its 100% blend of single malts, 1/3 the price and pretty darn good and I've been a Scotch drinker for decades. By the way, My regular drink is JW Black.

Blue Label is probably the smoothest blended scotch there is, it goes down your throat smoother than distilled water...but $204.00 is a little steep, the liquour store by my house sells it for $140.00 per bottle. But i guess that all depends on where you live.

If you're talking about a fifth, $204 is too much. I bought a liter off eBay for $190. That said, it is absolutely the best scotch I've ever had. For a fifth, look to pay around $155.

Blue label is more expensive. I just went to Vegas and my dad was drinking Johnny Walker blue on the rocks and after he lost most of his money, they wanted to sell him black label (it was less expensive than blue label). He wasn't having it, saying he can't go from blue to black..

Mr. Walker Blue is the best you can by from the Walker family. It's worth the price of admission.

It can be the best there is, but, $204.00 is too much for any bottle of scotch.

Very good. Worth it... yes. If you want a walk on the wild Single Malt side, go for a 24yr Bowmore. You'll never look back ;-)
