That is a tricky one. If I say it is not, people might get excited and report me as religiously intolerant, biased and probably racist as well. So I do not feel 100 % fit to answer this question in freedom and peace of mind,
Then again, it would depend on your (and my) definition of a real religion. Let us be a little bit flexible.
If a system of beliefs that has stood by the misery of billions of people in the last sixty or so years and has done virtually nothing to stop hundreds of thousands of children from starving, has encouraged hatred and ignorance, has allowed a small portion of the population of the country where it is dominant, to become filthily rich and believing that they are better than the poor people and has kept alive a system of discrimination by descent, can be called a real religion, then yes, why not. A real, real, real religion.
Interesting question. Thanks

Its a word used to describe something people don't really understand.
It is a word that was labeled on a class or culture of people... it really means nothing.
You need to know what the conclusion of a particular faith is...
That is how a path or faith is defined... not by a name or word..
but by a destination.
in what is called Hinduism there are many many many destinations... each are totally different.
All paths do not lead to the same place.
they lead to the place the lead to...
It really only takes very very common sense to realize that.
when you leave your home... if you go right it takes you one direction... correct.
if you go left another...
you may know your way around well enough to still get to the same place...
but I will tell you ... the journey of the soul is vast and it takes wisdom to know where you are and to decide where you want to go.
Peace

Yes. In fact, it is one of the oldest remaining religions today, and has just as much proof of the existence of their many gods as any other religion has for the existence of their single god.

what is a real relegion i don't know,
Hinduism isn't a relegion followed after a Prophet, like Christian, Buddhism, Islam, ......................
no one knows the origin of this relegion, it is assumed that it is older than Lord Rama, i.e 175000 years,
that is unimaginable but it's true,
and what u call such Relegion - 'real"- as real as earth and universe.

They seem to have a better idea about God than most of the other ones. At least they don't think she is a man.
