My girlfriend and I got an apartment together, then three months later she broke up with me. We're in college so she went to her hometown for break, I have a job so I stayed at the apartment. I found out she was talking to a guy after just one month, and then eventually found out she was seeing him. Another bad thing is, we have to live with eachother still because we can't get out of the lease. Did I mention that we dated for 6 years. Another thing is, the kid she is seeing is absolutely ugly, and she is beautiful, which I thought was odd. Anyone gone through this before? What did you do? Is this just to make me jealous? Because there is no way she is attracted to this guy. He's fat, has long hair with zits, and a complete geek.

Find a buddy at college to take over her part of the rent and kick her out. Then never look back. It may hurt but if a girl did that to me, I would probably just never talk to her again. Pretend she is dead. now, go out and find yourself a new girl.

Haha, two of my friends went through this, but reversed. The girl found out the guy was cheating on her after they moved in together. They dated for 4 years before this, mostly through college.
She thought she was screwing him over on rent so she stayed for a while, but it was so painful, especially when the other girl came over, who was just... mean. She finally got the balls to move out, she couldn't take it. Like a month later, the new girl moved in and took her spot. She was upset, but dude, it's better you find out now than after you're married or have kids!! She's dating a new guy now, and he's such a sweetheart, treats her better in the 9 months they've been dating than her ex did in all 4 years.
She's defintely not for you. 6 years is a wonderful amount of time to spend with someone. Get out there are see who you've been missing. Your TRUE girl may be waiting for you!

Who knows what she sees in this guy, but the bottom line is out of respect for each other neither of you should bring anyone back to the apartment to spend the night. You have broken up so you cannot stop her from dating though. If she is doing this to make you jealous it is very immature. She would be using the other guy and that is just plain wrong. If you were together for six years I think you should be able to at least talk to her about this.

This same thing happened to my son, years ago.
It took him a long time to get over his ex., but it was a blessing in disguise. He eventually hooked up with a whole new group of friends (he had been with this girl all thru high school, then in college along with all their friends) got into surfing, went to Puerto Rico to surf (had a blast), met many new female friends graduated college and is now married and has two children a great job.
You will get over this, try meeting new people and get a new perspective on life, it WILL help.
Good Luck

First of all, so what if he is "ugly", maybe your ex is looking for something more than just a face. Second, there are ways to get out of the lease. Work on that where one of you moves out and the other carries it. This can be done if you really want it to. Third, quit keeping tabs on what she is doing and get on with your own life. Give to somebody else what you have going. She is.
Good luck.

I am so sorry bro. you are entitled to be jealous. shot, I'd be pissed as hell. Ignore her... go find someone else, she aint the only one. As for living with each other, don't let her bring that guy over. if she does, have your friends come over everyday, that'll bother the crap out of her and her fat geeky "boyfriend". Hey man, work your way thru the lease and then give her the boot. Best of luck!

The best thing for you to do at this point is to cut your loses. Be glad that you found out about her now instead of after the wedding. You need to move on immediately. Find you someone that can be faithful and respect you.

you know, she may actually like him for him and looks past his appearance and likes him on the inside. although there is a chance shes trying to make u jealous as well. i'd say go get another gf cuz if she broke up with you, shes moved on and shes trying to get her life back on track. let her be. maybe u guys can still be friends :)

find out how much it would cost to break the lease or if that isn't feasable, find out if you can sublet the apartment and sublet your portion of the apartment out so you can leave and live elsewhere.
She's already moved on and you should probably move out for your own sanity.
sorry dude, I agree it is totally messed up.
