if I get blue plates and bowls do I need blue glasses as well? I want the clear blue glass plates...do you know what I mean? Should I get blue glasses just like that or should I get clear? Also, do you think blue is a good color for a kitchen? I was debating between blue or red. My last kitchen was red, but I've since moved & gotten divorced so I thought I might should go w/a different color. Let me know what you think please!

BLue is a fine kitchen color. I would probably do clear glasses, that way if you do evenutally change your mind of the blue, you can still keep your glasses.

Why not blue? Since you're making a new start, go for it!

I've seen some lovely blue glasses. I've also seen a few that were part clear and part blue.

Good luck!

I love blue in a kitchen. I think that crystal glasses would look wonderful. The addition of blue glasses might just be a little too much blue on the table. There are a lot of really nice blue drinkware however.
Here are a couple of idea's for blue, clear is easy:

I don't care for blue....it's too boy bedroom. I like the neutral colors so that I can change the decor. I like being able to make it tuscany...with grapes and wine bottles, or the coffee house look. Or if I feel like doing something beach house, I can change it easily without having to repaint every time. If you do the blue dishes, do clear glasses. Not everything needs to be blue.

I think blue sounds lovely I would suggest something pastel for light just not too bold as it creates darkness. I love bold and bright colours though some rooms can get away with it, if they get plenty of sunlight.

What about orange cups to compliment the blue, I think this will look stunning.

I did a kitchen in a wedgewood blue once and loved it. I would suggest that you keep somethings nuetral, such as clear glasses, so that you do not overwhelm and you give yourself some flexibility to change later.

i would do something with the plates too. having a blue room with blue plates and blue cups is too much. its like those old ladys who dress all in one color, it just looks hideous! Try using your plates and cups to accent the room, maybe yellows? if there are any accents in your room already, try using that color. But if you are using the blue plates, go with clear cups, i think that would look the best.

THE CHOICE OF COLORS IS UP TO YOU. I LIKE BLUE VERY MUCH. BUT TOO MUCH OF ONE THING CAN BE BAD. I'D GO W/ THE CLEAR GLASSES. HAVE FUN DECORATING
