No.
But for the Mayans, the end was a couple of centuries earlier than they predicted.

There have been a number of prediction regarding the end of the world. I don't know if I believe those prediction but what I do believe is everyday mankind comes closer and closer to launching nuclear bombs. Once this happens this will be very close to the end of the world since people especially in America won't understand how to exist in this kind of condition. If we look back on how people here in America behaved when we were running out of gasoline, fighting, jumping in front of other people to get gas, I can only image how ugly we're going to get knowing that water is contaminated, and there will be a food shortage.

If I made up a calendar that ends in 2010, would you believe that the world will end in 2010?
Let me make a prophecy: For every prophecy that sets the date for the end of the world and is proved wrong by the passing of this date without happening anything, a dozen of new prophecies with new dates for the end of the world will pop up from somewhere. Prophecy is cheap and meaningless.

It's true but the Mayan calendar has little to do with it...there is so much conjecture that no one with any common sense pays attention to it...if you're really worried about it...just watch for the signs and keep yourself ready to move...

No, the mayans just stopped their calander there because they felt like it. They figured they could expand it when they got closer to the date.

No one knows when the end of the World will come, but, the end of life as we know it, will change and has already, since 911!
Bush opened the Gates of Hell when he adopted the Policy of 'Preempted Strikes!"
China did put a stick up his A-- when they blew that satellite away!
It showed how weak our Hi-Tech Military really is!
Those of you who have satellite TV, know what happens in bad weather and a WAR does not stop to wait for the sun to come out!
If Bush invades Iran before he leaves office, one of his named 'Axis of Evil', who do you think just might make a preempted strike on the U.S. being one of Bush's so-called 'Axis of Evil!'
MAN HAS THE KNOWLEDGE TO DESTROY
OR RESTORE!

We have to remember that God won't destroy the world, but the things that are in the world(corruption, greed, lusts, homosexuallity, lasciviousness, malisciousness, anger, etc.) It will be a pefect world w/our blessed Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ Who is the Author & Finisher of our faith. He has no beginning & He has no end.

The Aztecs say the world will end in 2015. The Incans say the world will end in 2019. I'm sure we'll all be here in 2020.

I believe it is coming to an end and we are living in the final days. Will it be in 2012? I don't know it could be tomorrow.
