FSM has a graph. :-P

Besides, the FSM doesn't claim to be the only god, just the sauciest!

There are many gods. If you mean the Christian-Jewish-Muslim God (CJMG), then FSM is definitely more likely. FSMism is much more consistent with the fossil record than than CJMG. While all sorts of intellectual acrobatics are required to explain away the inconsistencies between what we can readily observe and CJMG's holy texts, the Gospel of the FSM explains everything quite clearly in a way that cannot be disproven; the world was created quite recently with all the "fossils" in the ground, and every time someone makes a measurement that would prove that the world was indeed quite young, the FSM reaches in with His Noodly Appendage and changes the result to test our faith. Also, the imperfection of the world is explained clearly. While this is difficult to reconcile this with a perfect CJMG, the FSM makes no pretense of being perfect. In fact, He was quite intoxicated from drinking from His beer volcano when he created the world, and the first person came out a midget.

Though I believe in God with all my heart, I am convinced that you will not find a scientific proof of God's existence. But ponder this. Nearly 2000 years ago, a band of cowards and fools was transformed by an event that caused them to boldly risk their lives and reputations to proclaim that a criminal, executed by the state, had come back to life. Their witness changed the world.

You'll have to decide whether that event had significance for you. In the meanwhile, I will be getting my spaghetti from he supermarket!

I know that The Flying Spaghetti Monster is real dear because He touched me with His noodly appendages.
After I worship Him (by cooking and eating pasta) I can feel Him in my stomach and liver.
Ramen ! Ramen !

Equal. There is no evidence for either. But the Pastafarians know that the big bang happened when the FSM combined pasta and antipasto....

Evidence for FSM vs. God

* Pasta exists, yet nothing about "Gods" person is know to exist.

* FSM followers have a substantially higher IQ than religionists.

* youtube footage shows the FSM flying over several cities worldwide. No such footage exists for God.

Ultimately that is a decision only YOU can make. The question is can you allow others the same right to choose. Can you be tolerant and accept that others will not all agree with you. It is more than likely that the world will not agree with you in your life time. If you can not be tolerant of others beliefs..or lack of them, how far would you go to make THEM conform. Is conformity the solution? Is tolerance and acceptance the solution?

It doesn't matter if you pile up "evidence" of FSM all the way up to the sky. There is no physical evidence of God, but He still is the only One who matters in life (and death). God still topples over the tower of "FSM evidence" and rules.

I gotta go with FSM

Unfortunately, there are a lot of immature people on this forum. You seem to be one of them. Here, is an essay written by a PhD. Do you know what PhD means child?

Is There a God? - The Implications
"Is there a God?" is not a difficult question. The question that seems most perplexing is, "why are we determined to explain away God?" Let's give credit where credit is due. It seems that if there is a God, then we would be His creatures, and therefore, accountable to Him. Of course, this is not acceptable to a determined portion of mankind's intelligentsia. These "scholars" have a good control of the majority through arenas such as the public school system and the broadcast media. We are not exposed to both alternatives. We're not taught the problems with evolution, naturalism and materialism. We are simply taught the Big Bang is fact. The result is that we are not educated, we are indoctrinated. Unfortunately, the ultimate result is that we and our children are taught that there is no Divine Lawmaker, and therefore, there is no absolute law or morality. Everything in today's society, including moral codes and civil laws, are merely relative. "Survival of the fittest!" is the rally cry. No one stops to consider why or how morality developed, or that it seems to only function as a means for the survival of the weakest. Because we are taught there is no God, what would cause us to consider that perhaps there is a God and He instituted morality? Evolution is unable to account for the development of the moral code inherent in all of us. We simply ignore this truth, just as we seem to be ignoring God altogether. Society suffers tremendously as a result of our children being taught we share a common heritage with rocks and plants. Individuality, meaning and purpose no longer mean anything. And we wonder why our kids act like animals today.

Does God Exist - The Big Questions
Does God exist? An answer to this fundamental question is a prerequisite for answering the other big questions of life: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Do we serve a purpose? Do we have any intrinsic value? What happens after we die? The question of the existence of God is fundamental.

Does God Exist - A Philosophical Issue
Before we ask the question "Does God exist?" we first have to deal with our philosophical predispositions. If, for example, I am already dedicated to the philosophical idea that nothing can exist outside of the natural realm (i.e. there can be no supernatural God), no amount of evidence could convince me otherwise. Asking the question "does God exist?" would be pointless. My answer would be "No, He doesn't," regardless of whether God truly exists or not. The question would be impossible to answer from an evidentiary standpoint simply because anything which God might have done (that is, any supernatural act which might serve as evidence for His existence) would have to be explained away in terms of natural causes, not because we know what those natural causes could possibly be, but simply because a supernatural God is not allowed to exist!

Dr. Richard Lewontin, the Alexander Agassiz Professor of Zoology at Harvard University, put it like this: "It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counterintuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door" (Richard Lewontin, "Billions and Billions of Demons," New York Review of Books, January 9, 1997, p. 28).

If, on the other hand, I were neutral, and didn't already have an "a priori adherence" to a particular worldview (be it naturalistic or otherwise), the question "does God really exist?" wouldn't be pointless at all. Rather, it would be the first step in an objective and meaningful search for ultimate truth. Our willingness to ask the question with an open mind is fundamental to our ability to discover the truth behind the answer. So first of all, before you even ask the question, decide whether or not you're really willing to accept the answer.

Does God Exist - Things to Consider
Once you're ready to ask the question, "does God exist?" here are a few observations to consider as you begin your search for an objective answer:

Discoveries in astronomy have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the universe did, in fact, have a beginning. There was a single moment of creation.
Advances in molecular biology have revealed vast amounts of information encoded in each and every living cell, and molecular biologists have discovered thousands upon thousands of exquisitely designed machines at the molecular level. Information requires intelligence and design requires a designer.
Biochemists and mathematicians have calculated the odds against life arising from non-life naturally via unintelligent processes. The odds are astronomical. In fact, scientists aren't even sure if life could have evolved naturally via unintelligent processes. If life did not arise by chance, how did it arise?
The universe is ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they serve?
Philosophers agree that a transcendent Law Giver is the only plausible explanation for an objective moral standard. So, ask yourself if you believe in right and wrong and then ask yourself why. Who gave you your conscience? Why does it exist?
People of every race, creed, color, and culture, both men and women, young and old, wise and foolish, from the educated to the ignorant, claim to have personally experienced something of the supernatural. So what are we supposed to do with these prodigious accounts of divine healing, prophetic revelation, answered prayer, and other miraculous phenomena? Ignorance and imagination may have played a part to be sure, but is there something more?
