Money and power have nothing to do with living well. Hitler committed suicide (if I remember correctly), and was tormented by inner demons his whole life. Bush is hated by most of the world. Having "stuff" does not equal living well. If it did, Brittney Spears wouldn't be an addict. Maybe I should use a better example since she doesn't admit it...how about the "Cory's" (Haim and Feldman).

The concept of "Karma" is similar to many "afterlife" concepts in virtually any religion. It is meant to assure followers that if they follow the rules and live good lives, they will be "rewarded" in the afterlife.
Specifically regarding "Karma", "bad" people, such as those you listed, are not necessarily "improvements" over their "past" life, assuming that they even had such. On the other hand, if their previous incarnation was even worse (not all people make it to public scrutiny, much less worldwide fame or infamy), then those "bad" people were certainly improvements, as hard as that might be to imagine! ;)
So, you are confusing two separate issues: the reward system of "Karma", versus the choices we make as human beings (that's why most other living things, animals and insects, are considered "sacred", because, in their current incarnation, they are "innocent" of all evils man to which man is tempted).
P.S. I know that your list was meant to incite people to rail against it (i.e., Hitler and Bush being lumped into the "bad" category), but, obviously, there are degrees of "bad", just as there are for "good": Is someone who does nothing with their life as "bad" as Hitler or worthy of sainthood?

Karma is banked. You have good Karma credit goes up, bad karma debit goes up. If the balance is positive you move up in evolution of soul If the balance is negative you move backwards
So there is a saying in India.
Every saint had a past, every sinner has a future.
Meanning saint is liberated, sinner has to take many more birth..

Hitler would have been rewarded with human status at birth by karma, his actions after birth ensured that the next life will probably be spent as bacteria in a septic tank.

You answered your own question, the previous lives have been given the good rewards in this life, and the people in this life who live a bad life will have the bad rewards in the next one you dont get your rewards and punishments right away.

no religion book speaks of ponarjan as life death life death................ so on seven times even the hindu scriptures says of ponarjanam as the muslims say of the judgement day
In the Hindu scriptures it clearly states the following: “There is no image of HIM! HE is bodiless and pure!” (Yujurved. Chapter: 32-3. & 40:8). Further in the Upanishads chapter 6:2:1 & Chapter 4:19 it clearly states: “There is no likeness of HIM, & HE is ONE only, without a second.” The responsibility now rests on the Hindu Pundits to preach this truth to their flocks, and to inform them that idol worship is forbidden in their own religious Scriptures. The Pundits will be held responsible if they fail in this duty and did not convey the message.

What do you define as well? That is the issue. They weren't living well, cultural success, or living in excess, living in riches is not having Good karma. Not sure where you got that from. From a higher perspective or Soul perspective what people brand as successful in this world is seen as an utter failure from the higher perspective that is not held by limitations. The objective is to know thy self and be that self in so much that you can attain that self acquaintance. You are to be in the world but not of it and draw from that which is not terrestrial but is indwelling as the Light of your Soul.
Hilter, Stalin, Bush (he is not evil and it is very ignorant and disrespectful to put him in with that Bunch, not to say he is smart but that's not even right), and etc... these souls expressed those lives as they were put into that position to by the laws. Higher reality of Souls isn't politically correct, these men are not their souls and in spirit we are all friends, these individuals were in the position to express what they did in the Laws, as it was necessary in the movement cosmically to happen as a means of correction (debts of the past - there is no such thing of the innocent, our higher souls choose the life it will express), testing the consciousness/minds of the people, and etc. All of which was vastly important, as it invoke movement towards the development of souls. I have no idea how people interpret Karma it is amazing. Karma is development, person living what people call the Good life, where as an individual who grew up poor and had to go against adversity yet prevails, they would judge the one with the Good life as having great karma merit. Negative, the one that agonizes and prevails is the one who had opportunity to for growth, this was his gift - opportunity to overcome, work on defects of mind and conqueror them. This world is a pretty messed up place, but its as it should be, it is naturally corruptible being divided and imperfect. Bush was put in the position he was in the laws because of the people, no doubt his interaction with the laws made it possible for him.
The laws are reflecting ourselves back to ourselves, all things return to its source. Everything that occurs to man occurs because he invoked it or brought about by the defects/divisions and construct/demiurge of his own mind.

mostly all that can be determined by the karma of a previous life is the status of your birth, be it animal, human, upper class or lower class. after that, the opportunities you realize are not so dependent on what happened in previous lives as what you do with this one.

I don't believe in Karma, but God lets it rain on the just and unjust alike. Have you ever considered that all they get is this tiny time upon the earth? I don't agree with your line up.

I'm sorry I have never believed that one or some of the other Hindu beliefs. I am what I am not because of my past lives but because of my present life and my present beliefs.
