If so do you hang on to certian church beliefs like for example do you consider yourself Baptist, Methodist etc or do you have your own set of beliefs maybe eclectic in you christianity?
No right or wrong answers just wondering. Church people can answer also with your view on this practice.
As a former Christian minister I know the view I held based on Hebrews 10:25.
This is not a troll question, I am just interested in your opinion
The best answer will be picked according to what moves me not what I personally believe. I may or may not agree.

To iwant, no it is not a command but a very strong suggestion and a warning. If you forsake the assembly you cannot recieve the fellowship you need to grow according to most church doctrines right?
One time my wife and I were a church of two because we did not fit in anymore and Jesus did say that hwere two or more is gathered together in my name I am there with them, but many churches said we were wrong. Not just the ones we were affiliated with but others of defferent sects also said this was not possible. Good answers.

Hammy the non denom churshces I have attended have their own set of rules and regulations you must follow.
Honestly according to scripture Christianity is non denominational. That is why when I was a Christian I was just a Christian only and worshiped with those of like mind.

Thanks Eds yes I know because you and I were associated with the same set of folks Christian only and the bible only.
Ectorbob many people feel the way you do the worship and praise rock and roll type services are dividing even the Baptists and Methodists. I hear more and more say they are just staying home and worshiping as they feel the bible says to.

Nikon, being solitary pagan is not uncommon I am solitary myself I have been trying to attend the UU church to fellowship with other pagans but the UU church is way different than any churcfh that uses the bible whether bible only or denominational. I have only attended two services because the last three Sundays have been rainy and I don't like riding my motorcycle in the rain. this sunday hopefully I will atend a meetup in a city 45 miles from me so I will not go then either.

I am new in understanding the Pagan belief's. I was raised Christian, mostly Baptist. I just got really tired of the guilt, and hell fire damination portion of the Baptist realm. I chose to stop attending church services.
I have met a group of lovely people that I chose to pray with and learn from. I am enjoying my new path of spiritualism. I'm much closer now to God than I ever was before.
I know I have so much to learn. However, I know, for myself, I am on the right path.

Rider,
You have a number of GREAT Answers to this question. It is good to see you online again. I was wondering about you but have not been able to write recently. I am a Non-Denominational member of Christ's Church. I follow only the Bible as my guide to GOD'S WORD and I attend every service at the same church I was baptized in as often as I am able. I generally attend the teen classes and either teach or assist as I am needed during Bible Classes. I have been very blessed in my lifetime and feel very happy that I chose to become a Christian. Have a wonderful week and a glorious Holiday with your family!!
Thanks,
Eds
Jeffrey,
I liked your answer but I would like to know (personally) what deviations you have from the church that you attended.
Thanks

I am a Bible believer. Most if not all churches are apostate. We are currently in the time period of the Bible called the "great falling away." I would mostly side with the fundamentalist Baptist's but, I don't totally agree with them. I am not ashamed to say "I don't know and I don't think anyone really does" when a question is asked about a certain Bible verse.

Up until recently I attended every service there was at my church. But I started to get bored, because it was the same teachings over and over again. I still go to church, but not every single service. I'm non denominational, becuase I don't like being tied down to a bunch of made up rules. I am a follower of Christ and I have realized that I am closer to God when I am not at church. May not make since to anyone, but it does to me. I can focus more, now, than I ever could before.

I am a Baptist because that is where God lead me to. But first I am a follower of Jesus Christ and his word. I believe as one who is saved the Lord commands his people to atten church. Hebrew 10:25-Not forsaking
That word not is a command not a suggestion. I am thankfull the Lord set up churches where a body of believers can assembly together.

uno wrider , it's getting awfully hard to get my wife to understand that we need to assemble when just like you the people of the church are falling so far off bickering about things that have no salvational value, no purpose in spiritualism (you have a kitchen, hand clapping, men that braid their hair, communion 1st or last, adding word's to songs or not, what songs etc......) , and no confidence in the word's they speak but do not follow.
Even prejudice so called Christians rule the church and mislead men who want you to praise them and the things have ... if you don't have what or come close to how they dress or have the bank account home or car your not blessed enough to know the truth therefore not able to help or teach others the love of Christ
I believe uno what I'm saying
Sorry you had to "leave the faith" to be happy.
I have just met a group of people of other churches who have begun home churching because all the extra rule and regs applied in the their past churches.

yes well OK .In my opinion : In my belief being brought up a christian and still have that belief really don't need a church to worship in and not going to even bother looking up Hebrews 10.25 .....most Christians can can go to any christian church use the same bible and still come up with the same answer ........as you said there are no right or wrong answers just a belief in humanity ...being a good person ..is paramount in most religious beliefs all the one god isn't it no matter what church ...god does listen to prayers of men /women .....no matter were ....so my opinion .

I used to be a deacon; but have left 'formal worship services' at present. Seeing a difference, I developed a list of 7 deviations from God's word to what is presently 'preached' and practiced at most christian 'churches' in USA today.

I try to avoid the larger church service whenever possible since they switched to using praise choruses and PowerPoint. I feel like I'm in an audience rather than part of a congregation. Visiting different churches--Catholic, Nazarene, etc. has an appeal to me because it teaches me about my brothers and sisters in Christ and how to appreciate them more and understand them. And it keeps me from having to sit through the PowerPoint. :)

Old habits die hard. I choose not to regularly attend a congregation, for I have not found a group within reasonable commuting distance that seems to me to be in harmony with Scriptures. I understand scripture to be the word of YHVH, and the source of life. Thus I see "Christianity" to be a source of death, for it does not follow scripture.
