He'll need to eat a lot of protein (red meat) and carbs (potatoes pasta bread). Might also be worth getting him some of those body building shakes.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but I must in this case. Do you want his weight to be muscle or fat? Because you can put fat on real quick, eat enough of the wrong foods and just sit around all day, and it'll happen eventually. If you want him to be bigger, but ripped, the gym or floor-work (pushups, things that can be done at home) are the only ways.
Also, as an alternative note, you could just not worry about it. If he's your bf, he obviously likes you the way you are, and you like him, because women can afford to be chosey (:P). So relax, and take comfort in the fact that you can both be happy with the way you look. You should take no concern of the way things "appear." Pay attention to the way they are.

My Steve had such a high metabolism he found it nearly impossible to put on weight. But he bought a set of dumb bells so he could work out at home and not have to go to a gym. They don't take up a lot of space if you buy a set that has its own rack.
Also, he needs to eat plenty of protein, so that when he does exercise he can build muscle. He also needs complex carbs. Since you are working on keeping slim (congrats on your size 12, by the way; I was already larger than that at AGE 12!), you need to find some way to accept that you eat much, much less than he does. I did it by only sitting down to meals together on rare occasions. Usually for a holiday, and he did the cooking!

Im in a similar situation. I weigh more than my b/f but i am a normal size. Some people cant put on weight due to their metabolism but you can always try.
I would say eat a lot of protein and healthy fats like nuts, avacado etc. Dont eat lots of junk food because it is still very unhealthy even if he stays thin.
Also, i would suggest to see a doctor or nutritionist. They would suggest the best ways to put on weight healthily.

Leave him alone! Not everyone puts on weight easily. And going to the gym won't solve the problem - that only builds up muscle and would make him lose more weight. It's just about eating the right food.

You cant help the genitics of someone like this. It is not going to matter what this guy eats. You will have to wait till he gets at least 35 when his body slows down and he then will start to gain weight.

Slim Fast. Not as a replacement for his meals, but with them. Since Slim Fast is supposed to be a meal replacement, drinking one with his meals will give him the extra calories he'll want to put on weight.

He's like my brother, my brother is 12 and weighs 70pounds. Did you know if you have the right bone mass and the right body mass you lose calories while you sleep. So make sure he dosen't sleep so he gains weight!

Thin girls are nice to look at but that's about it. I like a little chub personally. Not fat just a little meat.
