You know it kinda funny, that you would ask that, and we all know its tungue and cheek, nice try. Send them home until they can come here legally. It is amazing however, that the entire world absolutley hates the U.S but yet they all want to come here? Why is that?

No matter which way or from what country, illegal undocumented immigrants are still illegal. You write about a special deal for the Irish, what do you think is taking place now with all the immigrants getting their citizenship papers and still can't live a life without the US retaining the customs, languages.

We do need to deal w/ the illegal Irish immigrants eventually. First we need to deal w/ the 12 million illegal Mexicans in this country. While the Irish who come here illegally are wrong they speak English and don't live off welfare. Which is more than we can say for most Mexican Illegals. I say we need to take care of the greater of the two evils first. First deport the illegal Mexicans and then the Irish.
Edit: We also don't have to fork out money for ESL classes for the illegal Irish children.

If Kennedy sticks his name to it and I don't think he will it would be political suicide. However he is of Irish descent and probably draws financial as well as votes from the Irish community. So he's caught between a rock and a hard place. Fifty to sixty thou should not be able to dictate the rules especially as they are illegals.

I think of them the same way I would think of any illegal immigrants. I hope they do not get a special deal. All illegal aliens should get the same treatment, no matter what country they are from. Sadly, the will probably get better treatment than other illegal aliens, just because most Irish people are white and speak English, and we live in a racist society.

EDIT: To Tiny Valkyrie and Demorat: I'm sure they are sending money to Ireland. It's just that there are more Mexican illegal aliens than Irish illegal aliens in the U.S., so there's more money going to Mexico from illegal aliens in the U.S. than there is going to Ireland. You 2 are both racist. I can't believe all the racism in this question. As a previous respondant said, whatever happened to "illegal is illegal", and "deport, deport, deport!". Perhaps a more accurate expression of your opinion would be "Mexican is
Mexican", or "illegal is illegal, but only when the criminal in question is an ethnic minority", rather than "illegal is illegal".

Hmmmm.....

20million+ Mexicans> 50,000 Irish. Mexican illegals outnumber the Irish 400:1! Sooooo....

Do the math!!! 50K isn't the problem. Not like the Mexicans.

They're not growing exponentially! They work hard. Speak English. They come in limited numbers, not as a mass exodus. They're Christian. Smart. And the same backround and they are the same people as us. And similar in culture. They don't march in the streets demanding rights they don't have. They are respectful. And they assimilate.

So even though they're illegal too, they're nowhere as near as big a problem as the illegal Mexicans...

I say send them home.

Illegal Is illegal to me.

But to answer your question. It is no different than the mexican goverments and latino organizations who try to work out deals for latinos only. They have about 200 different groups trying to do it for them so does the fact that one irish org is trying it for the irish here make me mad? No, but I still say send them home.

By the way when is the last time you saw an immigration rally where people were blocking the streets flying the Irish flag like you do mexicans flying the mexican flag shouting they want rights in america?

Nothing new in the history of the two nations and not a big deal.

The Irish economy has never been stronger, so it's not exactly going to be a trend.

Why does it matter that they are Irish? If they are here illegally send them back!

Send them to Mexico. The Irish are known to be hard workers. Maybe they can get that country on its feet.
