My son will be 3 at the end of January. He is fully potty trained at home, but only when he is naked, as soon as he puts underwear on he starts peeing his pants again. I am at my wits end. We regressed yesterday back to diapers because he was getting discouraged and threw a huge fit when I tried to take his diaper off so he could use the potty in the morning. We've tried, rewards for going in the potty, along with a star chart and lots of praise!
Anyone with a special trick that got their child into underwear and not to use them like diapers.

We were using underwear until yesterday when he just refused to go with out a diaper. Everyone keeps telling me he should be trained before he is 3!

Yes, let them choose when they are ready. Never Force, or they will regress!
Under 3 is really still too young for a boy to be ready and mature enough.
Most boys are not fully potty trained (during the day, at least) until almost 3 1/2-4 years old. It is ok. Once they are, they are done for good. Day and night.

Make it target practice! This worked with my three year old nephew. Dump some fruit loops or cheerios into the toilet and let him try to aim and hit them. Also, this might offend some people, but we tired to make peeing fun so his dad would take him outside and let him pee on trees and stuff. lol As for the diapers go, my nephew was in pullups and as long as he had a pull up on he'd pee himself because he knew it wouldn't get his pants wet. Keep him in the underwear and eventually he'll get sick of sitting around in his own pee. Good luck!

just do it
we bought panties and only used diapers as discipline if she went in her panties
however my daughter was about 3.5 when she finally fully trained
we had the same problem
it's because underwear feels the same as a diaper
take him to the store and have him pick out some underwear with charecters or something on it that he likes then tell him when he goes in them that he made them all yucky and now they are sad
it worked wonders for caitlin

because its easier to sit with no clothes on.
i was told by alot of older moms never train naked ever make them learn to pull their clothes up and down while learning to go potty. its hard and accidents happen
its easier naked cause theres no clothes to remove put clothes on him and take him once and hour

well, praise doesn't work. now do the opposite. call him peepee boy. point at his dirty underwear.
