Has anyone else noticed that when people pose questions on here to Christians, Muslims, Jews, Pagans, Atheists, etc. that you do get answers. However when you pose a question to or about Jehovah's Witnesses they will normally say "Contact your local Kingdom Hall". Why is that? Do they not know the answers or is it like a public service announcement..."for more information please call..."? Just curious.

Yeah that's kinda funny considering they all seem so eager to talk when the come banging on your door uninvited...You'd think they'd have more answers.
Maybe you should call the local Kingdom Hall and find out LOL

From Jehovah's Witnesses you normally get the contact your local Kingdon Hall answer or a lot of "Witness Speak", where they babble on about irrelevant points.

You can never get a direct answer.

The "pearls before swine" argument is wrong, i.e., why should we answer a question from someone who is baiting us and really doesn't want an answer but wants to argue.

I would be a swine, apostate whatever. The problem is that when I or another "swine" ask a question, the answer will not only be seen by the "swine", but by hundreds or perhaps thousands of people that are potential "sheep" (Witness Converts) So by not defending your faith, you may be not making a convert and Jehovah will kill that person. Their blood is on your hands!

The "Truth" is unassailable. So, you should be able to soundly answer and defend your faith.

I ask again, yes or no, Can a person learn the Truth by reading just the Bible. Hint: The Watchtower says No,

But go ahead and "Report' the anti Witness stuff, since you can't defend it.

A lot of my stuff gets removed. That's the JW's I know and love to hate. No tolerance of opposing views.

Wow, look at Auctung with all his links along with mindless babble.

Lavender: Your answer here is not consistant with some of your questions and your emails to me. I was a Witness for 50 years. For the most part I agree, on an idividual basis Witnesses are very nice, usually. The problem is how can 100% of witnesses believe 100% of what the Society says 100% of the time? These very nice people unfortunitly buy into this indefensable position and can't reason their way out of it.

I don't think you are who you present yourself to be. Some of your posts are almost childlike and some fairly well put together, like the one below.

The jw's on this site are an interesting bunch. I will see new ones pop up now and again, and almost as soon as I realize they are here, I am blocked :) It's like they are afraid of the "apostates" so they send out a little bulletin telling everyone who to block. I can only assume they refuse to answer certain questions based on similar paranoia.

We tend to see them as an outsider. So it's quite naturally if you were a J.W to hold yourself back to avoid being judge or misunderstand with your replies here if you are a minority in the R & S.

Actually I have seen many questions answered by witnesses, including myself. The answers INCLUDE referring the person to the local Kingdom Hall because many of the questions require more attention than can be given on this forum.

For instance, try explaining in this space, who the woman referred to in Revelation is or Daniel's prophecy about the fall of ancient Babylon.

No.

As of December 2007, this answerer has answered over 8500 questions, almost all of which concern Jehovah's Witnesses.

Not one of those 8500 answers merely redirects the questioner to his local Kingdom Hall, and in fact such answers seem to represent a tiny minority of the answers to such questions. Of course, the only way to be sure an answer represents the actual teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses is by considering their publications, available at their official website and in print at no charge.

My experience is, they do get back to me. I receive e-mails in that way they can fully go into more details on the reasons of why they believe what they believe while using biblical scriptures. The last one I got was on birthday celebrations. This JW went into details with history, origins, and why it would be displeasing to JHVH God. My experience with this is just the total opposite from yours. I find them to be very helpful and courteous. I got nothing against them and it is very hard to find anything wrong with them that they are careful on how they talk and conduct themselves. There is nothing wrong with them. Just one law they need to work on before its to late. Peace be upon all of us that love Christ Jesus.

I didn't know that! Thanks for the info. Now my interest in Jehovah's Witnesses and what they are all about has gone from zero to zilch.
