Actually, "C" is right... any person with faith in God is considered a saint in the bible. The Catholics take sainthood to a new level. As far as the Mormons, to be a prophet all you have to do is get a picture of the planet that God supposedly lives on, or talk about crazy space stuff.

Some people are working hard to get Mother Teresa declared a saint although any miracles attributed to her are highly dubious, but anyway never mind that...she raised quite a lot of funds for the church I hear. The monies she raised certainly didn't go into better medical equipment, hospital hygiene or for pain relief for the dying supposedly in her care anyway...it went straight into the church coffers (imho).

This isn't Grauman's Chinese Theater, or the "Walk of Fame"....it doesn't cost the person anything but stellar good deeds in life to become a Saint.

Your life in service to others and a hundred-year wait. Generally speaking, they don't canonize trolls.

Get yourself a TV station--and don't bother with the Catholics. The Pope makes all their decisions. Pick some Protestant denomination. If you don't make it to official prophet, you'll at least be a millionaire.

It won't take money, just your time. You have to work your way through the ranks until you are in the Quorum of the Twelve. And that won't guarantee you get to be Prophet.

It would "cost" you nothing but your devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. You receive baptism, covenant to keep his commandments, and the title follows. Essentially, you declare it yourself by your actions and beliefs.

You life and three miracles. How quickly can you manage that? Just wondering if I'll still be alive so I can attend your canonization ceremony.

the Catholic church doesn't "declare" prophets.

for Sainthood, you'll need to have at least one, and probably more miracles attributed to you.
