I'd like to start a fundraiser for a very rare cancer ( glioblastoma multiforme ) my sister died from it about three yearsa go when she was 11 and i was 10. She had no chance of life for this cancer because since it is such a rare cancer nobody had a cure for yet, and i want to change that for all the kids and adults who have that cancer. So any ideas how ican start, other than at school or my neighborhood really? Im saying that because we have too many fundraisers and they said theycouldnt do it.So plese help, and I thank you so much!

I forgott o mention that the reason why her form of it was so rare and others were is because she had five tumours, three inside of her spinal ( inside as in not on it inside of it affecting her mobile ability) and two in her brain ( one of them was somehwat on her brainstem).

Dear Olivia, why don't you contact your local radio station or go to your local newspaper and talk to someone. This would be interesting to other people and I am sure you would get a lot of help in donating to your cause. Also local bars sometimes have fundraisers for causes like yours. People always want to go and have a good time while they are also helping out an important cause. Good luck.

My condolences on the loss of your sister!!

Consider first: The lesser known cancers are covered globally by things like the American Cancer Society. So consider helping that organization before creating a new one.

2. Ask yourself what your sister might want. What was she passionate about? Perhaps you could raise money, in your sister's name, for that charity, need, cause. She might like that better.

3. You need to find out WHO is doing research on this cancer. If you collect funds, you need to give them to someone. Who will you donate the funds to? Contact them and ask them where they get their current funds. Ask them what they will the do if you raise new funds.

4. Do some research to make sure a fund raising agency doesn't already exist for that form of cancer. Perhaps you could help them, if one exists.

Whew, if after all this, you are still passionate about this:

Get the book, Fundraising For Dummies. It is cheap and available on-line (amazon.com). The put all your effort into this and you will succeed!!

Best of luck. Now I'm going to read up on that cancer.

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes. And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you. Visit here : https://tinyurl.im/aH1bc to find out what all the fuss is about.

Volunteer for fundraisers for other but related causes, make yourself as useful as possible and learn as much as possible. Then you will be ready to tackle something on your own.
