were you aware that to create all the stars in the milky way galaxy at six days each would take 6.6 billion years? I am fairly sure we can all agree that stars are bigger than planets. when you consider the constuction of the known universe it would be safe to assume that gods full time job is making new celestial objects for the hubble telescope to observe. at least for the next 500 billion years.

I'm seeing a lot of people who say he spoke it into existence, if this is so why did he rest on the 7th day? Does your god need naps?

judah - that makes no sense, god can not create anything by speaking it, your own manual claims he was exhausted on the 7th day, why!? you cant have it both ways if creating the earth is such a laborius task, then how is it the rest of the universe is so simple?

First I'm not sure ow you could conclude each soler system was ceated in 6 differnt sets of days but looking at interstelar distinces it is celar the universe is billions of years old, and young earth Creationist from what I have not been able to provide a counter argument.
I've heard creationists with a literal view point claim that the speed of light is slowing down, but from what I have seen light is constant. So if there has been any cahnge to C then please explain and try to recreate C decay. Then I've heard them say...light was created in route, if this were the case then God would be a liar as the universe was made in such away to apear older than it is in reality. If god would design a universe in such away no one can tell it's true age then what else would he lie about? I refuse to accept the idea of God being a liar wich is the reason I beleive the univers is billions of years old. His work speaks of this, and Yes I am a Christian. God is out side of time.

God (not "god") DID create everything, the sun, the moon, the stars, et cetera.
God is not hampered by time. You're thinking in term of human production and manufacturing. But remember, we humans are finite. God is infinite and eternal.
God SPOKE, and it was so, by the power of His own Word.
And it doesn't take 6 billion years when He can place them AND the light, already travelling - ie create them with the appearance of age, just as God created Adam with the appearance of age. Or would you think that God created Adam as an infant???
Or the trees and flowers and cows and horses and other creatures - were they all created as new-borns? Obviously not, because there were no parents to care for them.
It is only logical to assume that each thing God created personally, He created "old", or "with the appearance of age", since they weren't actually "old" the moment He brought them into existence.
Oh, and one last thing, are you really so sure the universe is as old as you THINK it is?
If so, then, using your very same logic and math, I would have to conclude that a typical high school student is 72 years old.
Ok. You don't get it. Let me explain.
If you were to take the average height of high school students, then divide that number by the average GAIN per year, you would calculate that on the average, the age of a high school student is 72 years old. (Do the math yourself, if you don't believe me!)
But, to double check this, let's also take the average WEIGHT of high school students. Divide out this number by the average weight gain during the student's high school years, and once again you get the average of 72 years for a typical high school student.
What's wrong with this? The math works! But what's wrong?
When you figure THIS out, then you'll understand why so many of us realize that the universe is a lot younger than scientists have calculated, by the same reasoning.
(I'll leave this as a mental exercise for you. - Your homework, as it were.)

God created them all as old.
The Universe is and is not at the same time Old.
The Universe is actually not billions and Billions of years old, and then again it is.
It is like this: God created Adam and Eve not as babies and watched them grow. he created them as mature adults.
The same is with the Universe, so when He spoke the universe into existance, he spoke it into existance as Old and mature and ready to support life here, so in a sense the Universe is both Old and Young.
