I'm addicted to food and by that I mean capsicum; I eat a least one raw chilli a day and can comfortably eat bird's eye chillis and scotch bonnet chillis raw. I add chilli to nearly everything.

I never so much as get the slightest upset from spicy food; rather I enjoy the benefits they bring: faster metabolism, clearer skin, lower cholestoral . . . chillis are such a good pain relief if I actually eat chilli to relieve pain rather than taking tablets.

I've read so many answers on this site regarding spicy food that say 'only in moderation' and 'they give you heartburn, ulcers and cancer'. It's all rubbish; eat as much spicy food as you like and enjoy the health benefits. It's only the minority cursed with poor digestive systems that can't make use of these amazing food.

spices are all natural so they are good for the body. anyone that says any different knows nothing about human nutrition or human biology for that matter.

The only thing that it will cause is major heartburn as you progress along. Even then, just keep a bottle of tums around and try not to eat spicy foods a few hours before bed. That's just advice from my own personal experience. Of course, just like anything you're unsure of, ask your doctor about it. Good luck sweetie!

it is will give you heartburn and ulcers.
I should know !!

But make sure if you do eat spicy food that you at least drink a gallon of water a day to flush it out of your system :)

Good luck

Well, it's actually "lotls of spices(what they call the powder i guess)" that are bad for one's stomach, but the green chili itself is healthy.

Keep eating what you like as long as you don't get sick.
