Kosovo poll for non-albanians and non-serbs...?

1)Do you think there will be another war for Kosovo soon?
2)Do you think KFOR is strong enough to keep peace there?
3)Do you think Serbian army is strong enough to enter Kosovo and push KFOR out?

Interesting times my friend.

I think there are a number of issues that will bring war to Kosovo again:
1. Russia and their recent Nationalistic / anti-US fervor.
2. All neighboring countries (less Albania) saying they don't want an independent Albanian led Kosovo.
3. The US / Brits / Aus and NATO is overextended in other countries.
4. The Albanians are adamant that they will be independent
5. The Serbs are adamant that Kosovo will not break away.
6. KFOR is understrength and manned by the wrong forces.

Other considerations:
1. The KLA cahed all their weapons after the war. These have never been found.
2. All the radical KLA commanders were indicted for war crimes or had their assets frozen in 2001. That pissed them off.
3. The main POE into Kosovo is controlled by the Russians and their are no remaining US friendly neighbouring countries.
4. The KPC was promised by the US that they would be the future Army of Kosovo. This didnt happen, they havent forgotten.
5. There are huge gaps in KFORs defenses in the west and the north-east (ie: Serb enclaves).
6. The UN is feeling a little gun-shy at the moment after recent attacks on their missions.

So to answer your questions:
Yes

No, but they will definately force another short-term war to start the process again.

I completely agree with Klint. Abania isn't a dangerous country, we don't need terrorism. We aren't assasins. We're good people, u have never been in Abania, our country is very hospitable like our Dear Mother Teresa. We're not bad people. Kosovo should be indipendent, not because I'm Albanian but because this poor country suffered a lot. If Serb and Albanian people hate eachother there, so why should Kosovo remain a Serb territory, I don't see any bad thing if Kosovo becomes indipendent.

3. The only impetus the Serbian Army might have to do that is if some twit from the UN, in the name of cultural diversity, allows construction of a mosque and minaret at Kosovo Polye outside of Pristina.

Kosovo is a quagmire for the Serbs created by Bill Clinton.

I believe that the few remaining Serbs there will either be killed off, or have to flee their ancestral homeland.

Eventually, al Quaeda will move into the Balkans and then it will be like Afghanistan all over again...

Serbia will stay at home and say lots but do nothing, they got their fingers burnt once, their days contemplating retaking the Balkans has come and gone.

They will be forever remembered as the country that started WW1, collaborated with the Nazis in WW2, and bought the horror of ethnic cleansing to Europe post WW2.
