If you've seen Harry Potter you're already a practitioner of witchcraft so you couldn't possibly go to heaven anyways. Watching Golden Compass would just put you on Satan's Dream Team right alongside Charles Darwin and Hitler.

No. I don't believe in hell because I'm a Seventh Day Adventist but if that was what I believed I wouldn't think you'd go to hell. The movie is apparently alright but the books show hatred of God in them. Don't read the books. It would be better if you didn't watch the movie though because then you might think, "Oh, that was alright. I want to read the book but I won't pay any attention to the bad things the author says about God and Christianity." and then you'll read the book and find yourself thinking things that you wouldn't think of God. I don't know. I've never read the books. You won't go to hell but please for your own sake don't go and see the movie anyway.

We all go to hell interestingly enough. I'm a believer and wouldn't watch this movie because the writer of the books is said to be a devout atheist who detested the writings of CS Lewis so I couldn't support him anymore than I can support the Harry Potter series or Dan Brown's writing or movies, etc.
So, as far as going to hell...if I die tomorrow..I'll go to hell and I staunchly refuse to see this movie...see it or not..you will go to hell too. However, you won't burn there...neither will I or anyone else because unbeknownst to some...hell is just another word for grave that has been given in place of the term "sheol" which is the hebraic original meaning.."to be covered over." Hell is a pagan term derived from "hel"..a norse god of the underworld not even concieved of when the old testament was written. The same thing applies to the term Hades..which is greek. You see, no one actually goes to heaven or hell when they die. There is no immediate dispensation. When you die you are actually dead and that means that you cease for a time...no thought, no awareness...no little disembodied spirit floating around twisting in the wind..you are dead and become either worm food or ashes in the breeze (or in a box on someones mantle). Upon the day of judgement, according to scripture, all will be resurrected. At which time, depending upon whose side you are on...you are delegated to either eternal life on a new earth or you will be consumed once and for eternity to never exist again in eternal death. So the choice is eternal life..or eternal death. Eternal torment in a lake of burning sulfuric brimstone lava while being tormented by demons is a "fairytale, myth.." brought about by the Catholic doctrine of purgatory and reliance on 14th century writings such as Dante's Inferno and etc. Which by the way is predicted in bible prophacy interestingly enough also. So, if you want to see this movie...I doubt very much that it will keep you from eternal life with Christ as your redeemer...but if Christ were your redeemer...except for a morbid curiosity, which I also must struggle with, you wouldn't desire to see it simply because it is anti-christian. Why would you support it? Love in Christ, ~J~

You're joking, right?
That's like saying, Tolkien is pathetic.
But you may enjoy the show!

By the way, Terry W wrote a good response, I'd vote him for best answer, were I in your shoes.

It's a good start! If you refrain from eating the "evil" popcorn then you might get a pass but remember, one bite and you're a goner.

Yes, the Hell of knowing that you spent good money to see an overly-hyped, not overly good movie.
