I ran into this nice lady a few months ago, and she offered me to live in her house, with a lot of other girls, it was kinda dorm style, she went by the NIV and it was just a tiny church and girls that just roomed together, we did what all churches do, bible studies, sunday service, praise, volunteer at the church..blahblahblah. I thought i was just goin great with the LORD until I realized, she was controlling all the girls in the house, into doing what she wanted us to do, such as believe what SHE said, spend extra hours at the church or do things for the church, and if not, give us a extreme scolding/guilt trip about how "God's watching" and just the way she had all these crazy plans to evangelize people, just very MANIPULATIVE. Anyhow, I'm finally outta there, but I'm doubting like crazy, no matter what people say.... she made everything sound so true, including the parts of the bible that she twisted, I can't even believe the bible and esp not anyone else.

I suggest this: Do NOT follow anyone, like the hyprocrites do. Do Not follow the false prophets as they do. Do Not, feel like you must go to Any church in order to be seen by God , like the hyprocrites do. For there Faith is little, and is shown by how much they try to act it. There reward is recieved by those they are fooling, which are the other hyprocrites in the same church around them. Do Not pray in front of others, yet when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray in secret , so that your Father, who sees in secret may reward you. Eitherwise , if you remain in the flock of sheep of hyprocrites, you are not seen , and recieve the same deaf ears that they do. Know your faith is seen , just by following the heart of God. And do not fear wether you know His heart or not. For his heart is loving, and warm, and welcoming, and never judgemental. So too be like Him , and by doing so, your faith is revealed. I do not follow any cults, nor any religions, yet I do have my faith in God. Yet also, I only let him see me pray , my church is his universe, not singled out to a building nor gathering. I act with good intentions , and care not wether others realize my faith or not, for the ones who are not blind shall see by how they feel around me. Your Father in heaven knows you love him, and Loves you too. Feel free to speak to me anytime, yet do not if you do not wish to. You are never alone, so do not ever feel the need to gather with others.

particularly, you're incorrect: your buddies do love you and consequently they are shunning you! No love is unconditional - settle for possibly the affection of a baby. you have been a dedicated witness for 2 many years and now thinking your faith?! nicely, to be elementary, thinking our perception isn't incorrect; although that's what we question it extremely is erroneous. you have "desperate" thus far a non-witness? This feels like a rebellion to me. extremely as you realize explanation why we are entreated to basically marry in the religion. you're maximum certainly going to good way in posing your question on right here because of the fact despite the fact that there are witness, which incorporate myself, there are a good deal who're against us and could make you sense justified on your stand! could you concepts sharing a number of your doubts and concerns with me, so as that i'm getting an thought of why you're being kept away from? I particularly have been a witness for 11 years now, and it extremely is been a deep, deep warfare, because of the fact I gave up the prospect of motherhood to serve Jehovah! My husband is infertile and the only way we could have a baby is against Jehovah, so I particularly have been tortured with pregnancies among my sisters for see you later, yet amazingly, think of that i'm pregnant and by utilising my husband and that's a miracle and that i thank Jehovah sooooo plenty for this. Please share your concerns with me. it extremely is a sizable mistake you putting Jehovah removed from you, now of all cases! your buddies are being dedicated to Jehovah, because of the fact they needless to say sense that your questions are unusual from somebody who has been in the religion for as long as you have.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with someone professing Christian faith. She may have ben a bit extreme and fanatical and over-controlling, and perhaps deceived... But you shouldn't stop believing in Jesus who loves you truly. Keep seeking a closer walk with Him, read the Bible for yourself and let the Holy Spirit interpret it for you and you should do fine...

Remember, even if you get a counterfeit twenty dollar bill in change sometime, it doesn't mean you have to stop spending money altogether... ;)

WE must be always careful on what we incorporate to our beliefs. Heresies or wrong beliefs can cause people to destruction.

2 Peter 2:1-3

"But there were also FALSE PROPHETS among the people, just as there will be FALSE TEACHERS among you.

They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift DESTRUCTION on themselves.

MANY will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.

In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

If you noticed on top, one of the sources of wrong beliefs are false preachers and false prophets. That's why you always have to consider and test them first if they are of God or not.

1 John 4:1

"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

You don't have to go through other people to get to God. Read the Bible for yourself and talk to Him directly. The Bible says to worship Him, it doesn't say, "Go to church on Sunday at 9am and then go to sunday school, bible study, and all of the church potlucks or you will burn in Hell!" God want to have a PERSONAL relationship with YOU. Never let other people stand between you and Him, even if those people have good intentions.

It will be hard to forget the Cultic stuff you learned and you will need to go back to God and spend much time in Prayer and in studying God's Word and also you will need to find a good bible based church that preaches the full bible and not an entertainment type church where prosperity is preached and not Salvation for you soul

I switched my religion to Jedi. Trust in the Force. There is light, there is dark. You already know right from wrong, just live a good life and trust in the Force.

I must go, for the Jedi it is time to sleep as well. May the Force be with you...always.

A good book is The Subtle Powers of Spiritual Abuse. It talks about how churches, pastors, deacons, use God and the Bible to manipulate. Jesus came to set us free and freedom for you to be the creative, social, sister, daughter, friend, that is unique. Growing up is tough. It's sad that on one hand you fight your way out of Satan's grip and in the next you battle out of bogus teaching to attain good solid beliefs that are liberating and help you to love yourself and others more effectively.

May God, who is Good, bless you richly.

Im sorry that happened to you. It takes one person to destroy a town. You need to find your self again in the lord. by reading the bible yourself and understanding it. You should try talking to someone you trusted before with the bible and the questions that you have and do not let her make you upset at the lord cause she took things to the extreme.

You don't need someone to tell you what to do, how to do it, and why you should. You can think for yourself, this is evident as you can see through manipulation.
