Hi, I was charge with Driving while under suspension, and i have court this Friday. The proscecutor want jail time, and i might get it, if they get there way. Now the judge will ask me "Do you have anything to say before i impose sentence",
I was wondering what is the best thing to say to the judge to avoid prison. I have a lawyer but i want all the help i could get. Thank you.

Let me be clear to all of you. My drivers licence was suspened due to unpaid fines (only), I have never had a DUI, fail to stop at red lights, stop sighs, etc. Now you may ask why i don't just paid the fines,? while it's not that easy when the amount is $30,000, which my lawyer is working on trying to get it reduce. I got caught driving with no insurence 4 times. As you should know in the province of Ontario, Canada, the minium penetly for driving with no insurence is $5000.00 for each conviction. So please don't jump into conclusions. Yes i did make a mistake back then which i regret (this is four years ago), but people do change, and i have. Thank you
