I got it done over a year ago and at first it kept going into my tongue so I got a longer bar. I never put in a shorter one and my tongue hurts all the time and I am afraid to take it out and trap in an infection. But this weird little flap of skin which is sorta hard keeps growing on the bottom on one side of the hole....and I have cut it off three times but it keeps growing back!

STOP CUTTING IT OFF!!!!! i am a former piercer it is called a keeloid (may not be spelled right) it is a build up of scar tissue in the mouth it is a little different than that but that is the basic answer.
it happens to some people it is caused by the trauma to the area it may not have been pierced "properly" menaing your tongue may have had more trauma than a tongue piercing should cause. it isnt a bad thing necesarily it is always good to have it looked at for the sake of safety.
stop cutting it off it will get bigger you are causing more trauma.
Any more questions feel free to ask if i dont have the answer my friend who was my trainer will.

What do you mean she keeps getting it pierced? How many times? Sit her down and have a talk with her. You're her father and she is not of age. Tell her no, stand up. She is no adult and if she is going behind your back getting it pierced go to the parlor where she got it and tell them she was under age etc. Ground her if you need to.

Go see the doctor. It could be gangrene. Our mouths re dirtier than our butt holes so give some thought to going to see the doctor.
