Work each movement equally, not muscles groups. Working muscle groups doesn't work well to create joint balance, and prevent injury.

Work mostly with big movements for example squats, bench, shoulder press, rows, pull-downs/chins. Balance in the following groups Shoulder joint- horizontal push/horizontal pull, vertical push/vertical pull, Hip joint- hip dominant(dead-lifts)/Quad Dominant (squats, lunges).

Enjoy,
Brett

Do 3 -5 small sets of about 10 - 12 reps, on every part of your body. That way you are not over exercising any particular part of you body and less chance of muscle fatigue or cramp.

Once you've done this do your warm up exercises again, particularly your stretches then repeat another 3 sets of 10 -12 reps and do stetches and repeat this again. Try to stick to this and rather than increaing the amount of time you can manage to lift, increase the weight you are lifting.

I find that doing this doubles the amount of time i can lift for and also yeilds great results..

(p.s don't just ignore your legs, every muscle you work out releases muscle building chemicals which travel around your whole body. The more different muscles you work out the more you release. These chemicals are often trapped in the legs if you don't do some sort of weight lifting with them)

If you are doing similar reps for each muscle group, your proportion should take care of itself.

I support natural exercise like swimming, running and sports to build muscles. Weights build uneven muscles and, if you do them, use lighter weights and more reps.

I am very strong from using weights early in my life. I hope to convince you not to do as I did for your benefit.

THERE ARE 3 BODY SIZES. LARGE-MED AND SMALL. DEPENDING ON YOUR SIZE , JUST LIFT WEIGHTS ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY. IF YOU ARE THAT INTERESTED IN YOUR APPEARANCE THERE ARE GOOD BOOKS ON BODY MASS, AND THE SIZE YOU WANT TO BE.
