My cat would purr and demand attention when stepping on my tower after I bathe. Is this normal? He seems to like the stepping part though...

I close the door to the bathroom and keep the cat on the other side...so I don't have THIS problem!

Next time try rubbing her with the towel as if you were drying her off. My cats love this and will run in and out during a rain just so I have to keep drying them off. Maybe she sees you toweling and wants be like you.
My daughter's cat always had to be tucked in under a blanket at bed time just like her. He always went to bed at bed and waited through the bed time stories, and then I'd tuck her in and say good night, and then I had to put a small blanket around him and say good night, and they would both go right to sleep.
My cat also like to rub against my legs right after I get out of the bath. **Angst!** I get fur stuck to me when she does that. I think she does it just to annoy me.

The cat I used to have never seemed to express interest in this. I'm wondering if he likes the smell of you on the towel?

Your scent is on the towel and he may just be showing love as if you were still in the towel. Sounds cute though :-)
