My lover have films of old boxing and boxing books and magasines. He say Jack Dempsey fiercest of all. We watch him nearly kill giant Jess Willard (1920?), look as if someone cut him with knife. Jess say Jack use loaded gloves, not true. Jack have more killer instinct than anyone ever in box ring. Mike Tyson bite ear, but Jack Dempsey cut huge man to pieces.

Tyson, when he had that aura about him. Opponents were beaten before they even stepped in the ring with him, because they weregenuinely frightened of his reputation. Buster Douglas and Holyfield (in the first fight) shattered that illusion. I would also say Jack Dempsey, John L Sullivan, Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Stanley Ketchel, Harry Greb and Roberto Duran, to name but a few of many.

Most people would say Muhammed Ali or Ray Robinson. Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano are also popular choices. While there are many great fighters through out history and the debate could go on forever, I think one of the gretaest of all time is Henry Armstrong, who held the featherweight, lightweight and Welterweight titles all at the same time.(of course this was done before they had the "tweener" divisions)

I come up with Mike too. So many fighters were intimidated by him, that they already lost the fight before it even started. And don't forget, he bit off a part of Evander Holyfields ear. And he made a comment "I'll rip out your heart and feed it to your children". Something like that.

It was Jack Dempsey. He must have come from another planet. He was a monster in the ring. Nobody was more aggressive in the ring.
