I'm a Christian. I don't bash atheists. I count many atheists as my friends. Just because I chose to be a Christian doesn't mean that I expect the whole world to. The idea that all Christians bash atheists is absurd. I know Christians who are married to atheists, and if I were so against atheists myself, then I wouldn't have so many of them for friends. I also wouldn't attend their meetings. I've been asked on several occasions to address freethinker meetings in which the audience was predominantly composed of atheists. If I went there for the sole purpose of bashing a entire convention hall full of atheists, do you think I'd ever be invited back?

there is a few human beings from each and each faith on right here bashing somebody. There are some Atheists that bash Christians, some Christians that bash Muslims, some Jewish people who bash Atheists. it extremely is in certainty a collection of immature people who can basically agree on the certainty that they dislike to the factor of Hate yet another team. It would not propose that one and all Christians right here bash Atheists or all Muslims bash Jews and so on. basically some undesirable apples in each bunch

I think there is nothing wrong as I prefer it to be open and why should people be restricted to what they say. Questions are asked and anyone can answer it and can call themselves whatever they like and answer the way it suits them. Imagine if everyone started to write what and how you wanted what would we have here, no openness. A True Christian can never be ashamed of being called a Christian and they have their names written in the book of life.

Really... you can't group all Christians steriotypically together saying they ALL bash.. That's like saying all people in Texas like country music.

I think the experiences you've had with a few "christians" shouldn't give you a negative opinion on every christian in the world.

See more, learn more, be more openminded, and grow up a little more, and you will see Christians, true born again spirit filled grace filled christians are really beautiful and wonderfully impactful people! Open your eyes and embrace. Don't hate!

CORRECTION:

Some stupid "Christians" are bashing atheists.

I hate when people think that just because one person of a certain religious belief does something dumb that everyone who believes the same thing will do the same.....

Wait a tick... that sounds familiar.

Oh yeah, that's what people of other beliefs say when "Christians" start to go after people like Muslims and, oh yeah, Atheists.

Sounds to me like you are being a bit hypocritical, which makes you no better than the so-called "Christians" you are b!tching about.

I am personally afraid of atheist.

Most are nice people, usually.

However, I always fear the day when one or more realizes that all their values they hold dear are merely a result of 1700 years of christian moral philosophy dominating the Western world.

Once they realize this I hope they will embrace Christ, but I also fear that they will just abandon those ideals and start developing their own morality.

Start quantifying things. If this life is all we have it is ever-more the special/meaningless; ths leading to mass persecutions, embracement of the ideals of social darwinism/eugenics.

If their is no ultimate authority to say what is right or wrong then the only reason to be kind to people who if removed would allow you to prosper more readily is due to laziness.

Pagans get it too, it's just the way of the world. The Abrahamic religions vs everybody else has been a topic for division for many years. I prefer people get over it and at least try to understand each other. I will agree with the one answerer that you don't need to be threatening, it only makes them defensive and nothing gets accomplished.

Why don't you take a look at some of the horrible things they say about God and Jesus and Mary. Believe me I get really annoyed after awhile, listening to them bash my faith and my God. If they can dish it out then they should be able to take it.

Are you also ashamed to be a follower of Jesus after he called people Vipers and snakes, and after he ran the merchants out of the House of God ?

I can understand that you're uncomfortable with this however I wouldn't be too concerned. This has been going on for centuries. Atheists (particularly the ones on here) are used to being bashed. It's not that we like it, but most expect it.

If anyone can bash us intelligently, then we will sit up and take notice, but that's few and far between.
