It depends on what country you are from. For many countries in Europe and North America, you can get a free visit visa on arrival good for 60 days. If you need to get a visa before you go because you aren't travelling on a passport that allows you to get a visit visa on arrival, it would probably be wise to allow at least 10 business days, although it is likely that the process won't take that long. The visa to UAE is given upon arrival. The airline or travel agency must arrange for the issuance of a visa or must act as a sponsor.
