Need more Info. What Brand Receiver do you have?

Your trying to do the rear surround with the pro-logic receiver.

The Kenwood receiver you have does not have the Audio Outputs you need to do this.

However you can still do it if you buy a Speaker Level to Line Level Audio Converters. Here's one from Crutchfield. Only $20.00

Hook this up to your rear surround speakers and use the RCA outputs to hookup your pro-logic system.

Let me know how it turns out. Your learning allot. you'll be a pro at this in no time.

Flap he's trying to make 6.1 using a 5.1 system. By using a pro-logic receiver to create the Surround rear. Look at his older question's.

But you probably never tryed anything like this before as your a Engineer. In the good old day we use to do this. The guy's just trying to learn an old trick. Let her try.

You really need to be much clearer about what you are looking to do. We can only guess at what you are asking. Try again with a new, better composed question. We all troll the Home Theater section and we'll try to help you. :)

Pre outs on a 5.1 surround receiver bypass the amplifier section allowing you to use bigger/better external amps to power your speakers. Pre outs are also usefull for self-powered speakers. Can you feed signal to other equipment with pre outs? Sure, but it would be helpful to know what your goal is.

I am not sure of what your question is. That model of receiver is 6.1 DD and DTS as well as Pro logic II capable.

By Just connecting the proper 2 channel analog input to the receiver as long as it is encoded (most media is) your receiver will be able to matrix the sound.

Other than that you will want to connect the proper digital audio cable to the receiver from your DD or DTS sources.

I would ask for more detail of the specific application with a whole lot more detail than your are currently providing. More detail = better answer.

Look on the back of your receiver. A pre out will look like a rca jack and next to it it will say, center pre out, sub woofer pre out, etc.

I hope this helps.
