Vomitaceous? (my newly invented word for the feeling brought on from watching such acts). Or are you an offender?

The V word is hereby offered for public use. Feel free to distribute it to whom you wish.

well, my dog always tries to give me "kisses." that's not allowed--i don't like those, and stop him from doing so when i can tell he's about to try. (he does sometimes gets a few licks to my hand or my arm--or even my foot! and i'll tolerate those a little more because i acknowlegde that is part of his behaviour, and it would be a little mean to deny him his means of "showing affection/getting my attention").

i do not share my food with my dog--since behaviorally that would raise his status in "my pack;" i am his leader, and he will wait his turn (besides, it is inappropriate to feed dogs processed, human foods).

and for other people, well that's for them to determine if those activities are vomitaceous; it's none of my business.

I adore my animals, but I don't let them do this. They are not allowed to lick.

I couldn't even share a drink or food with my own children, the thought of anyone's spit in my food is vomitous. BLECK
Must be because I was raised an only child and I never had to deal with such things.

I work at a pet shop with animals everyday. I love animals, but not that much. There's a fine line between affection and nastiness. I see people do it pretty often at my job and it grosses me out.

I don't like animals to lick my nouth or eat from my plate, but I don't particularly care what other people do.

It's not usually considered well mannered to do it at the dinner table with others present, but otherwise, who cares? It's their business.

Cheers :-)

PS: Good word!

Vomitaceous - i like this :)

I do not like pet kisses. I KNOW where their mouths have been...

I went to a cat shelter once and saw this great cat. We held him, and he tried to kiss me >_< The woman there says "that's the way to get adopted, give em kisses"... eww

Dogs mouthes are cleaner than ours, even though they lick themselves to keep clean.

I don't really care. I don't know anyone like that. People who are obsessed with their pets tend not to be very good friends anyway, regardless of whether or not they suck face with them.
