God, Life and Choice. what would you do if you are a believer? no career, big money, people will think am nuts

I have wanted to be a Family and Marriage therapist for the past 5 years. 6 months ago I accepted Christ and now I want to do all the things God want me to do also I’ve been praying to serve Him and please Him. Now the more i went to my psychology classes, i realized that there is no thought of God when people try to solve world's problems. Then that’s when God told me that I will not be able to help families and couples with psychology. So then I decided that once i finish school, i will go to a Christian grad school so I can learn to solve problems God's way. After that i just prayed that He will work it out for me and I stopped worrying about it. I found peace and started to speak God's word to my room mates and class mate. Now it is the end of the school semester and last night, God reminded me that even though what i am doing is nice, it is not what he wants me to do. I truly believe that he wants me to leave school after that i don't know. This is a hard choice cuz of my mom.

I do not care if all the people calling nutz if I'm following what God's want me to do. This people did not know better. You know more than they know God. Ask God what His plan for your life and do not ask anyone but God. You said you found peace when you are sharing Jesus with your roommates, right? I thought you got it already! First, God wants you to tell everyone around you about Him. What He has done in your life. Testimony. You have to remember God's plan for your life is good and will not hurt you. Jeremiah 29:11. Proverbs 16:7 "When a man's way please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." In other words, when we put God first in our life everything will follow in sequence. Hang tight there. God will not leave you nor forsake you. Just read your Bible at lease once a day/verse or more. Filled your thoughts with the Word of God. You need to grow in faith. Remember you're still a baby and you can not eat solid food yet. Do not harry to grow up and will not going to happend over night. Just keep reading your bible for now. If you did not understand something just keep on reading and pray to God that reveal to you the meaning of it.
I pray to our God that He will hold you tight and will keep you under His wings till you grow in faith and ready to fly. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

How do you label all the murders of children and infants in the OT (world-wide flood, first born of Egypt, Elijah story, something about boiling babies in Leviticus, the children in Job, all the children who were killed in any battle in God's name, etc) as 'just'?
I realize you obviously are having a mental breakdown of sorts. Keep on with Psychology classes. They're cheaper than a therapist.

I think you should pray more and talk to your pastor. While I think psychology is a load of bologny, the degree may actually help you as a Christian counselor some day.

If God is calling you somewhere else, then by all means go, but first seek confirmation that you are hearing Him, and not just getting restless with things as they are. Get someone, like a pastor, to pray for and with you and to counsel you. That is what ministers are there for.
