My samsung 931bw can upscale its resolution to 1080p on my ps3? will it blow up if I keep this setting?

will it work on games which can support 1080p? I havent tried it yet coz I dont dont have a game that can.

no keep it
if you play a game under 1080p it will still work
it will just show up as 720p/1080i
