Haha, yesterday my girl friends mentioned something quite funny to me. One asked my how to lose weight, and then another immediately popped in the question: does crying make you lose weight?
She's been under a lot of stress so I told her that stress won't get her any fatter, and that she's not fat.

But I thought that maybe I'd put it up here.

So, does crying actually make you lose weight?

No. Crying will not make you lose weight. Yes it expends energy and therefore burns a few calories but most definitely not enough to make you lose lbs or visable weight. Crying also does not make you gain weight! It is true though that crying can cause stress (or is most likely already due to stress) and stress can cause you to gain weight. And of course, depending on your habits when you are stressed, you could lose or gain weight (some people overeat when stressed while others eat less). Crying by itself, however, cannot cause weight gain.

You should tell your friend to try and de-stress as much as possible....stress can have many adverse health effects...in addition to weight issues (which really could only happen if one was stressed out for a long period of time) stress can lower the effects of your immune system and cause you to get sick more often. Tell your friend to be sure and get as much rest as possible, take vitamins and drink orange (or take vitamin C). I find that drinking a nice hot cup of tea can de-stress...also burning relaxing candles or incense can help...any aromatherapy really...or a body lotion/bath products with lavender or spearmint tend to help de-stress. Also....exercise has shown to help lower stress and yoga and meditation as well. Most of all...just continue to be a good friend. If she tries to be calm and the stress won't be long-term...your friend has nothing to worry about in terms of weight gain. Also...I have found that "shop therapy" works for de-stressing as well. ;)

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

No. Crying will not make you lose weight. If you're very stressed out and not eating as much, you will lose weight, but shedding tears won't have any effect on your weight whatsoever.

Crying does not change your weight. Depending on how one responds to stress they may gain or lose weight, or stay the same.

After seeing this I want to share something because I spent many years switching from diet to diet without seeing any results until I saw Pams magic plan (just google it). It is without a doubt the best weight loss that I have ever achieved and I am still trim to this day.
