I have the 60gb model. The only game i have so far is heavenly sword. Here's the problem. I press the ps button on the controller to turn on the system when it's in standby mode, then i insert heavenly sword into the disc drive and it loads, but right after it says playstation 3 on the screen it kind of freezes. The screen goes blank. I think the ps3 still tries to load it beacause it makes that sound but it won't load. I then press the ps button and choose " quit game". This does nothing. The screen freezes again and the only way to stop the game is to eject it. Then the second time i insert the disc it works. Does th system have a problem or does this just happen?

I'm not sure what the problem could be. I have the 60GB PS3 also and I have Heavenly Sword and I haven't had the problem that you're having or any problems at all.

Also make sure that the PS3 is updated to the latest software version because some PS3 games cannot be played unless the PS3 itself is updated to a specific software version. If your PS3 isn't updated to the current version then that may be why the PS3 wont start the game.

The only thing that I can tell you is to contact Sony and tell them what problem that you are having. It may just be a minor issue with the PS3 or just the game disc. If you aren't having any issues with playing other PS1, PS2 or other PS3 games, then it is probably a problem with the game disc.

I would first make sure that you system has the most recent update, then go rent a different game. If the other game works then it is most likely a problem with your game. If not contact Sony they are pretty decent about taking care of problems with their products. (I had a problem with a DVD player a while ago, and they were great about helping me get it taken care of.)
