The function of a yawn is to deliver oxygen to your brain. Since singing requires that you continually take deep breaths, which, while allowing you to sing, also keeps supplies of oxygen to your system, including your brain. You will rarely, if ever, see a singer yawning while singing.

well maybe you may wana try getting a good sleep the night before, and if it's not like a big performance it's okay to yawn it's actually great because it stretches out your jaw muscles.
But during a performance or sumthin you may want to just try smiling instead or maybe slightly look away. When i asked my teacher she just said Don't lol
