Humans have Souls and a Spirit. Animals, Insects and birds etc. have a soul only. They lack the spiritual connection to God and are cared for by the Angels. When they die, they return to a collective much like the Borg on Star Trek.
Human Spirits remain individual and may continue individually. Ants have a consciousness as do Humans, but much less evolved.
A Spirit can experience the life of an ant, but an ant cannot experience a life of a human. This is all I have learned and read about ti so far. It may or may not be true.
My experience showed it was by attending school in Animal Communication with Anita Curtis in Philadelphia.

They have some type of understanding, but I don't know about a soul. I was thinking about that the other day and have not come up with an answer that satisfies me yet.

What, do you just make new accounts each time one of yours runs out of points? This is like the 5th "Do ants blah blah blah" question I've seen from you. I'm almost sorry I answered the first one, but hey, 4 points.

No, of course not. Why? You have an ant farm, and you can't bear the notion that you will see none of your precious little ones in heaven?
Trust me, you won't miss them. You won't miss anyone or anything you knew on earth when you're in heaven. Why? Because this life on earth looks like an insignificant blink of an eye in heaven, and anything that small is forgettable. So, don't worry! You know, the bible says your spouse won't even be your spouse anymore in heaven. So, I'm not worried about a bunch of ants. I'm more worried about not even knowing my wife as my wife anymore.

The real question is, do amoebas have a soul? I mean, they should right? What happens when they die?
My mom told me there was a dog heaven. So there must be an amoeba heaven too.
Man, what a party that would be. Must be crowded.
Do Mormons have souls?

hmmm maybe. gotta define what "soul" is first before we can discern if ants have them.
maybe worker ants sing the blues (a melody of scent markers) as they toil in the soil.

oo k....let me explain...first..u must understand that ther is a differance between a spirit and a soul....and that our make up is spirit ..soul...and body...summed up,i am a spirit...i have a soul...i live in a body(your earth suit)
when god created adam...he took from the ground and formed the body...to the ground it returnes when it dies
he then breathed into him life...a spirit...which is why we are considerd sons of god
he then became a living soul
a soul is...your mind..personality...ther is a differance between the brain (which is part of the body) and your mind..one is visable...the other isnt
