There is an alternative to Creation [who designed the designer?] and evolution [why don't we have a complete fossile record?] - and that is 'the creation' which is process and not an entity, etc.
In practical terms, it explains that the Earth creates life naturally as part of it's process - eventually producing human life... This would explain why our DNA is linked to the animals here...

Even Scientist are discovering a point of origin for the source of creation. Look up Physics - String theory.
This does not yet show the origin but they feel they are getting close. Yet when they do settle for something, the origin keeps skipping away in another direction, like a butterfly just out of reach. Where else could creation come from when it is unexplainable. We rest with it always was infinitely there. No origin. We call that which was God. The beginning and the end. Alpha and Omega which created to explore self.

well....if the universe exists, then something - a being, an intelligence, a force, ...but SOMETHING must in some way be responsible for the mere existence of the universe. And the existence of the Universe and the subatomic particles that it is made of were the precursors for the primordial ooze from which life emerged. And so way, way back there some sort of "creator" exists or existed.
Or, if we are just characters in someone's dream or in a simulation or program, then the dreamer or programmer can be thought of as the creator.

Ah, there you have it. It's because a painting needs a painter. By the same token I think we can all agree that humans are made from canvas and paint and should be hung in galleries.
Seriously, that argument only works based on the premise that all things are the same as all other things. It's the single most ridiculous 'argument' I have ever heard someone say with a straight face.
Edit: On second thought, it's a tie between that and ROBERT P's answer.

Because it's not possible to make something living from something nonliving, unless you're God that is. I have yet to hear of science figuring out how life started itself, much less replicating this process in a lab.

Life has to start somewhere, but who started it? Does it just appear out of air? I don't think so, someone had to start it.

Why is it necessary to have a builder for construction to start?
Why is it necessary to have spark for a fire to start?
Why is it necessary to have a brain for thinking to start?
