1. That the elected are more dedicated to serving the people than themselves. (not sure if thats an accepted lie, but its the reason thay always give to be running)
2. that it is evil. Religon in and of itself is not evil. It's when men twist and distort it, or use it to attempt to control mass thinking, that it how it gets a bad rap.

The belief that a lie repeated enough becomes accepted as a truth (in all categories)
The way I see this, a lie is a lie, and regardless on how it is tried to be supported, sooner or later everything is known.
...Just ask any ex-catholic, any ex-politician or any grown up kid.

1. The majority makes the rules. "The voters have spoken," and things like that. Gee, I guess that's how we got civil rights in this country.
2. That all church people genuinely care about you. Nope, many of them are just doing it for their own egos.
4. Morality comes from a book. No, it comes from inside -- and that helps us interpret the book.
6. "And they lived happily ever after." Happiness comes from being productive and overcoming obstacles, not reaching a certain point and then coasting through life.

1. We aren't torturing the foreign prisoner's and they don't deserve full rights of habeus corpus.
