Pork and Beans uses a whitish bean - typically a navy bean.

Chili with beans is usually a red kidney bean or pinto beans. Some brands use black beans.

Chili definitely has red kidney beans; I think the bean in pork & beans is a cannelli bean.

The beans in chili are normally dark or light kidney beans. The beans in pork & beans or baked beans are usually navy beans.
