God thinks homosexuality is a choice otherwise He would not call it sin. The rest you mention are sins also and are a choice.

First, let it be clear it is not just choice or born, up or down sort of thing. Everyone has different genetic tendencies, social-enviornmental dispositions, and maybe more importantly chemical-hormonal occurences while in the womb when it comes to homosexuality and some of the other non-related things you mention.
The point is that people for whatever reason choose to take an action, live a lifestyle, or make a decision that to them is more attractive than what family, society, and or anyone else thinks is better or right. You know cheating on your wife is wrong to everyone but you still do because it is your natural inclination to do so. That is a biological fact. You can choose to refrain from your insticts and impulses if they are negative to society or you can indulge them at your own consequence. It is about how you choose to take and make decisions that are either natural for you or are for societies norms.
So for your experiment the reasons someone is whatever they are, are already very different but it is how have the CHOICE to act on those impulses that define "Choice".
Now child molestors are almost always made by abusive or messed up social interactions while young. They then choose to act on those learned behaviors making it even worse. Homosexuality is not the same thing.
Finally, this idea mentioned by a previous answer that homosexuality does not harm the species is short sighted and baseless. If all men tommorrow were gay there would be no humans in 100 years ( no science allowed), so from a survival view it isnt conductive to the species. Those monkies with no mates will not have their genes passed on, so while it may be good population control or natural selection, when it comes down to it until that male monkey gets pregnant or the female one goes Virgin Mary it is absolutely not good for the monkey in question and probably not a good evolutionary step for the species as a whole.

Homosexuality isn't a found out habit. Sexual orientation is a genetic trait. on the different hand a gay existence sort or the different style of social expression which contain the sexual act itself is located out. you could be a gay all your existence with no need experienced a single gay actual bump into. it fairly is an argument of emotions particularly than movements although for the criminal area of it (military sensible and so on) is any opposite direction around. I artwork as a psychotherapist and that i will assure you that if human beings could desire to get rid of their to blame journeys, in many cases impose via fake non secular innovations lacking the affection that should were their essence to start with, the worldwide could be in a much extra advantageous shape

I would call it learned behavior, rather than a choice. However, we learn sexual behavior through our choices.
Here's how it works: Sexuality is malleable. We can have passing attractions to all sorts of things--same-sex partners, sadists, children, underwear, you name it. When we choose to act on the attraction to the point of orgasm, that sets up a learned sexual orientation.
Most homosexuals are actually bisexual (2/3 have had normal sexual intercourse), which is to say, they have acted on both normal and abnormal sexual attractions.
The good news for those who imagine themselves predestined to a grim homosexual future is that bizarre sexual orientations can be unlearned. There is an organization called Exodus that is helping thousands of homosexuals abandon this sexual bad habit.

For those interested in learning the facts about homosexuality, there is a great article by Jewish columnist and theologian, Dennis Prager: "Judaism's Sexual Revolution: Why Judaism (and then Christianity) Rejected Homosexuality."

there is no parallel between homosexuality and pedophilia or any of the other deviant conditions you list. homosexuality is found in over 400 species of animal (including primates) and is part of the social structures of the animals. often in animal communities where there is a dominant male who monopolizes the females the lesser males must content themselves with each other. homosexuality is entirely natural in that it occurs in the natural world which is not restricted or demeaned by artificial moral convention.
the deviant behaviors you list are self destructive and destructive for the species so would not be advantageous adaptations, they do, in fact, indicate illness or genetic degradation.

That is SO the point! What consenting adults do behind closed doors is nobody else's business. What someone does to an innocent child is everybody's business.

Intelligent and educated human beings should be able to resist the temptation to engage in clearly immoral/illegal behavior regardless their innate attraction to it. Homosexual intimacy between consenting adults should not be illegal and is not immoral as it hurts no one. Pedophilia, conversely, is hurtful, rightfully illegal, and immoral. Self-control should be exerted by those with such tendencies or eventually they will find themselves incarcerated.

Neither is a choice. That in no way indicates that molestation is correct. However, anything that happens between two consenting adults is not wrong.

I think you have a point, people who are abused as children often grow up to be child abusers so it seems to be their unfortuate 'fate' rather than something they have chosen.
But of course they do have a victim, which is why society is so outraged.
Same with all kinds of criminal behaviour really.
