Do we realize as believers that upon His ascension, Jesus Christ retained His Humanity. He did not unincarnate. There is Humanity in the Godhead now. Imagine that! In Eternity past God was completely Divine in His Nature. But through Christ's incarnation, human living, death, resurrection, ascension, enthronement, glorification He put Humanity into the Trinity!
SOme of you might look at me and say that I lost it. But consider this.. It is the Man Christ Jesus who intercedes for us. He is our Mediator between God and man. He is our High Priest carrying out His heavenly priestly ministry now.
I just wanted to put this matter to you brothers and sisters. Please share your thoughts as it relates to this.

Ty for taking the time to contribute with your own views on these thoughts.
Use any scriptural references in your sharing.

ty for putting in those points Annie and my first answerer:)
To think.. we shall be like Him too...
His glorified body...wow.. such an uplifted humanity! The type He offers us to have through Him today. Living a high proper kind of life. May we give the Lord such a way to life out His life in the glory through us as His people. This is the quality and kind of Life He affords us as He carries out His heavenly ministry daily.

Sister starlight:)
ty for posting tonight hun
Having a glorified body does not take away from His humanity. He did transfigure but in Him was all the experiences and feeling of a man. It is as THIS MAN that He is able to minister to us in every way. We are so blessed to Have such a mediator standing for us in the Heavens.

Jesus Son of Man is also Jesus the second person of the Holy Trinity, who is fully Man and fully God.

Jesus did not retain his humanity. He could even walk though walls. He had his glorified body as we will have some day.
The disciples were in a room and all at once Jesus appeared and the doors had been locked. Then Jesus suddenly appeared in a town many miles away in a flash of time. We will have bodies that can think of a place and at once we will be there.
We humans bound by gravity and time don't understand this yet. Jesus went to heaven in a supernatural body or glorified body it's called.

Yes, the Lord ascended as a Man and the only man-made thing in heaven will be the nail-print scars on His wrists and feet. It's awesome just to think of that.

Will share more on this later, I hope. Gotta go for office lunch now.. :)

ADD:
Back to the thread... would just like to share on Jesus as our representative as a human being. Because in order for God to redeem us from sin and death, He must first become a human being like us.

Just as Adam, the first man, was our representative - and his disobedience resulted in sin entering the world, and death spread to all men, so also Jesus, the last Adam, is our representative - and His obedience at the cross has made us righteous, redeemed us from death and given us eternal life. (Romans 5)

Also, in order for God to show us that He would keep His promises to bless us, He wants to cut a covenant with us. In the Old Testament, God chose Abraham to cut an everlasting covenant, so that his future generations will be blessed. But since Abraham is a fallible human being, he is the weak link since he is liable to fail to keep the covenant. So after Abraham prepared the freshly killed animals, God put him into a deep sleep, and God and Jesus (in His pre-incarnate form) appeared as a smoking oven and burning torch and passed between the pieces of animals. Jesus represented Abraham and his seed, and cut the unconditional covenant with God the Father. Now, if we are Christ's, then we are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise, which is the gift of "righteousness by faith" that entitles us to inherit the blessings of the righteous. (Galatians 3:29, Proverbs 10:6)

In the New Testament, God the Father and God the Son (Jesus) also cut a new covenant of grace at the cross. Again, Jesus - as God in human flesh - represents all of us human beings. This time, instead of the blood of animals, Jesus cut the covenant with God with His own blood and His own death. "For where there is a testament (or covenant), there must of necessity be the death of the testator." (Hebrews 9:16)

Thanks be to God, at the cross, Jesus took the penalty for our sins and died our death, so that He can redeem us from sin and death. "...He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who HAD the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15)

And His blood was shed at the cross for the remission of our sins. (Hebrews 9:22) His blood has made us so clean - even whiter than snow - that the Spirit of the holy God Himself is able to indwell us when we believe in Jesus. Now we become the beneficiaries of the new covenant, in which God writes His laws (God-given desires) in our hearts and minds, and causes us to know Him, for He is merciful to our unrighteousness, and He remembers our sins no more. (Hebrews 8:10-12)

Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy. Thank You Jesus for being our Redeemer and Mediator of the new covenant. You love us more than we can ever know. Amen.

Yes he is no different than how we will be in the Ressurection of life.

We get new perfected bodies.

I doubt his humanity will affect his divinity which is infinitly greater.

Jesus in the flesh said "touch me not ,for I have not yet ascended to my Father".
Jesus had the sin of human all over him,He was unclean.
Jesus put His spirit into us. So we are more spirit then human.
This flesh shall pass away, our spirit shall not.<><

i partially agree with you. however i will go farther and say that i do not believe in a trinity and that jesus never was divine. i believe there was, is and always will be only one God, our Father, YHVH.
