i decided i liked optometry more, but they're saying its harder to find a job. are they right? what do you think about this?

You should do what you want to do and what will make you happy. As for finding a job, it depends on where you live. If you live in a small town or small city you could go to work with someone that has a private practice then later start your own practice. It could be just as hard to find a job in pharmacy as it could be to find one in optometry.
I know the feeling because my parents got upset when I changed from social work to paralegal.

Personally, I don't think it matters whether it's easier or harder to find a job. Of course it's important, but enjoying what you do is much more important. If I were you I would stick with optometry.

There is about to be a surplus of optometrists. Things are starting to get tight for them. They are currently going through a crisis because of the increase of corporate optometry.

Pharmacy you can make big dough...Me i,d have a bad time knowing that I was a legal drug dealer....Optometry sounds good!!!!!!You,ll get to work with kids and sell glass eyes to old men!!!!!
