ok what if Hypothetically some dude wants to join the service but before he do so, he wants to get married...to a Muslim girl, will his future Brothers-in-arms reject him??? He will not convert though

Most that will happen is slapstick jokes against him, as all brothers-in-arms do. But nothing real or serious racist stuff. It's hard to be discriminatory when you sleep 2 feet away from and spend every waking hour with them. But yes, he will be teased.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of people in the military (just as in the civilian world) that translate Muslim to terrorist. I get crap all the time because I actually like to listen to Islamic music, so I could only imagine what kind of flak the guy who's married to a Muslim would get. It'll come and go though. As long as she's not a foreign national, it shouldn't hurt with a security clearance or anything like that either. Screw the idiots though, he shouldn't let that get in the way of his happiness.

the religious preferences of a person's spouse do not matter one iota.
what CAN be an issue is if they wanted a job that requires a Clearance. they would dig deep into the past and family of the Muslim woman and depending on what they find could DQ him from the job.

We HAVE Muslims in the Army.
Convert if you want - nobody cares what your faith is, we just care that you have loyalty to your brothers and sisters in arms.

This is America and contrary to popular belief. we are not fighting the Muslims, we are fighting radical extremist of Islam and Muslim. I would check with the boss(fiancee) first. then worry about you bro's in ca-mo. As long as you do your job and solider good. they don't care if you are married to a sheep

If this dude really loves the girl, he won't care what his brother's in arms might think of him because of his decision. Guys should understand they need to follow their heart, even if they might have to suffer a little.

No, one of my NCO's was a a muslim - Iranian - and he was very much respected. There are quite a few muslims in the army. Your performance is what matters, not religion.

I do not believe that their would be any problems as their are so many diverse people would not fear the military, plus there are rules under the UCMJ that protects you as well.

they might give him crap about it jokingly... but no one will reject him for it. we had muslim people in my unit and we even had a pakistani (second generation american) in my platoon with the last name of hussein... we called him saddam and always asked him not to blow up our cars...but thats it.
