When i look at bright colors, my eyes hurt. I can't see underwater. I cant even have anything next to my eyes besides glasses. When the doctors shine lights in my eyes, i can barely open my eyes enough for them to look into them. If I could just be unconcious it would save me soooooo much time, unwanted nightmares, flashbacks, episodes where i wake up in the shower huddled in a corner crying with cold water pouring down on me. Please let me know if anyone you know has done the procedure unconcious...... thanks a bunch.

If light sensitivity is the key to your misery with the thought of the procedure: my estranged husband had lasik a couple years ago, and said that he actually could not see while the laser surgery was being done. His eye was manually flattened out by a machine for the 15 or so seconds it took to actually do the work, and the pressure made the vision in that eye go black; he saw nothing. (Now, the idea of one's eye getting squooshed to do this doesn't appeal to me either, but, you have all kinds of eyedrops in so you don't feel it, plus a valium if you're antsy, he said...)

to reply to your question -- no it does not harm. After each and every thing is finished, you have gotten a gritty feeling on your eyes yet which will quickly disappear. you will see the version proper away and that is extremely surprising. for some month, you will see a halo around lighting fixtures. that could desire to additionally disappear after a whilst. i doesn'tchronic at night till this is going away. I had mine executed approximately 4 years in the past. right here became my difficulty. My left eye became a techniques sighted and my proper eye became close to sighted (my proper eye became my dominant eye). as quickly as I had the surgical treatment executed, the main suitable grew to grow to be my a techniques sighted eye and the left grew to grow to be my close to sighted eye. I even have by no skill been able to get used to that. additionally, I nonetheless could desire to placed on reading glasses and, I especially plenty won't be able to verify p.c. up without them. it certainly relies upon on the guy and the difficulty of your eyes earlier the surgical treatment. yet i might unquestionably go searching and do slightly examine. i'm nonetheless surprised at how a techniques away i will see yet I wish i could see as stable p.c. up. stable success!
