No, you can't request it. It is supposed to be random, taken from the list of registered voters in the area, to avoid biases.

It's a funny process, I'm 55 and only got called once, but was not picked for any jury. My mother was picked for 3 juries in 5 years! You just never know how it's going to go.

RE:
I want to be picked for Jury Duty?
Why haven't I been picked yet? I want some days off of work! Can you request it or something?

they usually compile lists from motor vehicles, voters records and taxes, so if you can change your name ...say drop your middle initial off your drivers license, use your maiden name initials on your voter records, etc , etc, etc.....you may have a chance of your name listed three or four times in the jury pool lottery(they usually eliminate duplicates)
but I have never heard of someone wanting to be on jury duty...
be careful what you wish for......you just may get it......I've heard the harder you try to get out of jury duty, the attorney's doing the voir dire will try and pick you as an alternate

Jury duty is unpleasant. If your job is so awful you would rather be on a jury, you should probably put your effort in on finding a better job.
