I have 5 thousand dollars and I want to add as much horsepower to my 2003 ford cobra what should I buy.?

I would do the easiest thing which would be to get more efficient supercharger and sell yours (Which will not be hard as there are many GT owners wanting this part.) Put in new Paxton and watch what better performance parts will do. Also all synthetic fluids, and change pulleys so they do not use as much power to run S.C. You will get from 415 (Now) to anywhere up to 550hp and torque that matches. Of course you can get more HP doing this and that but if you are not a mechanic will waste thousands on labor. Nitrous is OK if you have money to pay for new engines.

well since its a 2003 theres no need for a supercharger u should already have one so the next step would be some pulleys thats the best way to add quick power to the supercharger i also reccomend a racing chip um sct is a good one for mustangs some gears would go good wit that and also install some better exhaust and headers and u could always add some better gears it comes wit some good ones but they could always be better and if u have enough the easiest way to get hp is NITROUS but im thet tyoe of dude that wants all the power coming from my engine in other words no nos.... if y do all these mods ur lookin at somewhwere around 3000 dollars to do all this installed thats not includin nos wit nos probably around 4500 depending on the brand how many shots. hope that helps let me know wat u end up doin

this is what you do, find a mustang site and ask around see what people are running on their car. my first mod would be cam/heads/intake. that will net you good power and they must work together so give comp cams a call and tell them what motor you have and ask for a good cam and what heads to run with it and intake to work with them. then you must buy long tube headers, if you cant find a shop that will put a sticker on it without looking at the car then go shorty headers. long tube headers will net you the power you want from the cam/head combo. run a cut out on the headers and a x pipe with some good muflers. then if your a auto trans, buy a nice stall converter. 3000 to 3800 would be good if your a v8. i run a 3600 in my z28 it will really wake a car up coming out the hole. next you want to change the gear again you must find out what gear is in the car and have the gear to be able to work with the stall. everything works together to make power so you don't want a big cam big stall and a small gear. then finally if you have the money some good sticky tires, street legally slicks like nittos 555r are good sticky tires and handle really good. just find you a mustang site and ask questions the people on the site will help you with the spending and what not to buy. research everything. then when its done go kill some Honda's

don't tell any one how much you have to spend, too many people see the $ and will sell you sh@t just to get your cash remember if you want it to go fast you need to slow it down quicker, budget some cash for brake update cant believe i just said that must be getting smarter in my old age ..... i have a 1970 mach 1 so my first thought was a Paxton super charger and aluminium heads ? i don't know much about the newer stuff, summit racing should be able to fit you up with a good package IE chip etc be careful, again too many will sell you 1500.00 in parts and charge 3500 to install find someone you trust and do the parts install your self have a pro set up the computer end of it ,sorry didn't answer your question

I'd go with a different pullies for the supercharger, but if you've got $5000 to spend you can get a stroker kit to raise the displacement to 5.0L or 5.4L with the supercharger you'd could easily be over 600 HP with other simple bolt ons.

i would sell the mustang and then put the 5000 with it and buy a civic si and then put all that money in the honda and then it would smoke your cobra
