God and Allah told them to? or the Devil made them do it.

There was only but 1 war involving Buddhism. Buddhism = the true "peaceful" religion.

Islam? Peaceful? maybe, maybe not.

Christianity? Peaceful? Not. There's always rapes, slavery and violence in their Bible. God even commanded Abraham to kill his own son! Why do people still believe in this violent religion based on someone who might not even be real? Why believe in a God who created both a heaven and a hell? so he can throw those from heaven into hell & vice versa. If people "burn (to death) in hell" as most Christians believe, do those who are in heaven also "freeze (to death) in heaven"? opposite of burning [use of extreme heat] is freezing [use of extreme cold]

Most of the time, it's simple tribal warfare, not really about religion. For instance, the "troubles" in Ireland were usually described as "Catholic vs. Protestant." But really, it was two groups, one large and poor, the other smaller, but better off -- and in charge. They came from different places, had different histories, economic circumstances, etc.

So what looks like religious war is often two "tribes," each of which happens to be of a different religion, waring over the usual things wars are fought over -- land, power, economic opportunity, etc..

Most religion is just another name for Cosmic Politics.
I suppose many "enlightened or christed beings" participate
for a myrad of reasons. Some out of fear of losing their power and others to protect the oppressed and weaker
in the form of a saving rescue mission.

I think people use religion as a moral cop out. So they can do terrible things but appear to be not evil because they love "god". Leaders use religion as a way to keep their flunkies in line. I do not think there is anything that can be done about it though there is just no getting through to people that severely brainwashed.

Don't tell me you are ignorant and still very young to understand. In the name of religion we do not kill each other. We are only discussing matters about the belief.

It's what the two big religions (Christianity and Islam) do. Peaceful loving things that they are.

There are some nice people of both religions but both holy books encourage violence and wars.

People have always killed others for some stupied reason. Religon is just one of the many excuses that is used to justify horrible acts. Not to mention the fact that every religon thinks they are better then all the other religons.

Because they insulted the other religion. But most conflicts are not about religion but ethnicity. Its like two tribes battling because the chief of one tribe insulted the other.

Bcuz religions make ppl think they are right and when ppl think they are right, they often want to compete with ppl who are, therefore, according to their standards, wrong. Ppl sometimes get all involved in rituals instead of diligently seeking God. Ppl sometimes forget to LOVE and are instead very selfish bcuz to them, it's more important to have a sense of religion than to have a relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

i guess they believe that they will be delivered and raised from death if they kill one of their own brothers. They aren't real disciples or aren't located in the right religeon. Russian Christian Orthodox says that if you go to war for your country, you will go to heaven, but their bible also says that it is a sin to kill another man.
