Hello, my partner cannot eat coconut milk (had a severe reaction as a child and can't stomach it at all). I really want to make a prawn type curry - but struggling to find one without coconut cream/milk. Anyone have anything? It doesn't have to be Thai.

Thanks!

Get some campbells cream of shrimp soup Hard to find though - use this as a base add cream an curry and some diced apples. go to cambells they have this recipe online I am sure. My mother made it decades ago when the cream of shrimp soup was sold in the freezer case. She had a campbells soup cook book. Our family still makes this recipe after all these years

I would use a little butter and chicken broth. it will not be white, but will taste fine. I have done this many times and the Curry is really good stuff.
