silly question. Why do alot of people on this site put the word "God" in all caps? i welcome all answers (espically if you for real!)

yeah.. just God... They usually spell GOD when they are stressing the word or yelling... =)

Good question. Traditionally, those who believe in God capitalize it, because to them it is a proper noun, in addition to being a word worth honoring. For this very reason unbelievers tend to leave it lower case. But also traditionally, typing in all-caps is tantamount to YELLING. So putting "God" in all-caps really does not make any sense. Then again, people here are prone to getting pretty excited!! Maybe that is why they do it! :-)

the last girl was right, they have no clue.
To make it really simple. GOD or LORD would refer to God Almighty the Father. God or Lord refers to another part of God some don't accept. That would be in His earthly physical name, Jesus.
Meditate on it.
Hey, it's in the Bible that way too, and that is why.
They are not yelling per se.

Just grammer. Pointless - don't think the allknowing creator of the universe really cares what you call it - god, God, GOD, the Great Spirit, Allah, Yahweh, french fries, 5jU7fd, whatever. Just a label. The point is to believe, and don't let ohter's rules get in your way.

I think ppl just use all caps when they are trying to be dramatic. Most ppl either just say God or G-d. I say god.
