If the AD member is not with you, then a Power Of Attorney will be required to act on his/her behalf. If there is a notarized copy showing that you are registered in DEERS then that would be great too. Otherwise you should just need your birth certificate & SSN as well as the old ID card if you have one.

your sponsor must accompany you to the ID office to get your new cards. if they are unable to do so they must provide paperwork that gives the other parent permission to bring you to base and get them.

Since you are minors, your other parent( the non servicemember) lost her ID when the divorce became final, so they will need that paperwork to get onto base.

Once you are verified as still being in DEERS, new IDs will be issued.

Oh,and next time.. have your MOTHER do her own darn research instead of making her kids do it.

Go to the nearest military installation and bring your old ID cards with you. The personnel people at that installation will check it out with the DEERS system and issue you your new ID cards.

ok it is very important that your active duty sponsor take you to get them, otherwise you need a power of attorney from him/her. my husband and i are married and live at the same base....he had a busy work schedule though and couldnt get off work to go with me......i ended up having to get a power of attorney to go get my own because they refused to give me a new one without his signature.
